Iconic actress looks unrecognisable in new role – can you guess who it is?
DAME Helen Mirren is unrecognisable as she transforms into Israeli leader Golda Meir for her latest role.
The Oscar-winner, 76, has straggly, grey hair and a fatsuit to play the country’s first female PM in biopic Golda.
Dame Helen said: “She was a formidable, intransigent and powerful leader.
"I only hope I do her justice.”
Dame Mirren lived with actor Liam Neeson for four years during the early 1980s and has admitted it was a difficult relationship to let go of.
She is now married to director Taylor Hackford, who she has been with since 1986, the pair got married in 1997.
The actress was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for Services to the Performing Arts.
She has previously admitted she was worried about accepting the damehood.
Helen said in 2009: "I was ambivalent about being offered the DBE (Dame Commander of the British Empire) at first because I've always seen myself as slightly on the outside.

"Actors are rogues and vagabonds. Or they should be. I gave myself a week to think about it, talked to other people in the industry and, in the end, my baser feelings got the better of me and I succumbed to pride.
