I'm A Celebrity was rocked as Naughty Boy AND Dame Arlene Phillips both threatened to quit in the third episode.

The music producer had previously voiced thoughts he was considering leaving camp, but tonight said he was fed up with rival campmates and conditions in the castle.

He even snapped at Richard Madeley as he moaned: "Why did they choose me?"

Arlene also confessed she'd had enough, saying: "For me, I was hoping I was going to come out here strong and proud, but it hasn't started in the right way.

"I find it unacceptable. I know that I can't go on and my mind isn't going to change in the morning, one night isn't going to change."

Stunned Richard asked: "You're leaving as well?"

Arlene then told the Bush Telegraph there was nothing that would help her to stay.

Naughty Boy told friends in The Clink he was angry with celebs in the main camp, who he felt picked him for Treacherous Traps trial as he was the weakest.

Attempting to console him, Richard said: "You're reading too much into this. You did really well today and I know you keep saying 'no I didn't', but yes you did."

The 36-year-old snapped: "You're missing my point. Doing a trial and a challenge on the same day is something no one has done.

"No one knows what I'm going through right now, please."

Defensive Danny Miller replied: "We're just trying to build your confidence, mate.

"We're not trying to have a go at you."

Irritated Naughty Boy barked back: "Well, it's not working."

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed to viewers the miserable pair were still contestants on the show.

Ant said: "After some thought, they did join the camp earlier today with the intention of confronting them."

"You'll see that on tomorrow night's show," added Dec.

Naughty Boy previously said he felt “traumatised” in the castle.

He returned to David Ginola, Arlene Phillips, Richard Madeley and Danny and said he wanted to go home to his mum.

The music producer, real name Shahid Khan, said: “I do think my time here is done. I had a feeling earlier and I was thinking about mum.”

He stressed he loved his Clink pals but said of the main camp: “I don’t know if I could ever join that.”

Richard urged him to “sleep on it.” But Naughty Boy added: “I just can’t go from here into that main camp.  I can’t fake that.

“As much as they say they love us, they love you . . . there is no love.”

He added: "They're the reason I left."

Last night Naughty Boy admitted: “I can honestly say, first night in The Clink, I woke up traumatised.

"But I had no one to blame but myself. I was even questioning,
should I be here?"

Later, when Richard read a scroll saying the camps would merge in the morning, Naughty said his heart was not in it anymore.

"A robin flew in. I felt something. That robin’s here to see me. We chilled for a bit.

"Yeah, I was thinking that robin came with a message and all that message is is everything’s going to be OK.”

He turned down doing I’m A Celebrity last year to help care for his mum.
