Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen offers stern warning to fans as Ravenseat battered by ‘brutal’ Storm Arwen
AMANDA Owen has recalled how the North Yorkshire farm has been savaged by Storm Arwen.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star recalled how the estate has not escaped the brutal weather as she warned of the power of nature.
Amanda, 47, documents her life on the farm on Channel 5 with her husband Clive Owen and the couples nine-strong brood: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmy and Nancy.
The storm is rolling across the North of England in the Dales and Yorkshire is experiencing freezing temperatures.
Starting on Friday, snow began falling as Amanda updated her followers on the weather on her Twitter account.
Amanda shared a video of the Swaledale countryside coated in snow. In it, wind could be seen blowing through the grass.
The sky was light up orange by the sun set and her followers were loving the weather update.
She captioned the video: "Never forget the power of nature. A beautiful and yet brutal scene."
Hundreds of her fans have now shared the video of storm Arwen.
One follower commented: "Wow, beautiful - I wish I was there."
Another said: "I put a like on this and it is certainly beautiful but oh so bleak, it’s cold enough down here in Devon but nowhere near what your experiencing."
"I hope ye managed to get all yer sheep off the hills and safe before the weather hit.." said another.
Ever since the storm began on Friday the North has been savaged by freezing rain, snow and heavy winds.
Since yesterday yellow weather warnings have been in place for snow, wind, and ice.
The storm has left a quarter of a million homes without power.
It comes after Amanda has landed a new role away from the Channel 5 show as the latest series comes to an end.
The star will be starring on BBC series Winter Walks.
The BBC 4 series premieres on November 29 and Amanda will be the first to present it.
Amanda will hike from Bainbridge and Semer Water, exploring the fells between the two locations.
