Sarah Jayne Dunn could make dramatic Hollyoaks return after being sacked for being on OnlyFans
FOR 25 years, she played Hollyoaks character Mandy Richardson before bosses axed her for posting content on OnlyFans.
But there’s good news for Sarah Jayne Dunn.
It seems that the door remains ajar, because bosses have no current plans to kill off Mandy.
The actress was sacked from the Channel 4 soap after refusing to stop using Only Fans, where she posted raunchy images to subscribers.
A source said: “In soap it’s very common for actors to drift in and out of the show.
“Beverley Callard has left Corrie a number of times then returned, Patsy Palmer and Lacey Turner yo-yoed with EastEnders and it’s even a thing for lesser-known stars like Danny Miller with Emmerdale.
“Sarah Jayne even did it herself, leaving in 2011 then coming back in 2017.
“But the key is whether the character just ‘moves abroad’ or gets jailed – something reversible.

“If the character’s killed off, you know it’s the end.
“So if I was Sarah Jayne, I’d feel pretty relieved there were no plans to bump off Mandy.”
Hollyoaks said they do not comment on contracts.
Because scenes are filmed ahead of time, Mandy won’t disappear from screens until early next year.
Sarah Jayne left the soap after bosses gave her an ultimatum.
But she chose to remain on the OnlyFans site because it “gave her control” and boosted her income.
After the announcement, she gained 11,000 new followers in one day – which would have brought in an estimated £97,000.
Mum-of-three Sarah Jayne said at the time: “I’m simply moving my racier images to another platform.
“This is a decision I’ve thought long and hard about.
“This is about taking control of your own images, your own choices and what you want to do with your body.”
Donte's back as teacher
HE played reckless Donte Charles in Waterloo Road for three years.
But Adam Thomas had to leave the BBC drama in 2009 when his bad boy character came of age and left the comprehensive school.
Now the show is returning to screens after a six-year break – and Adam is coming with it.
The I’m A Celebrity star will be reprising the role of Donte.
But the schoolboy is now grown up – and is heading back to Waterloo Road as a teacher.
A source said: “It’s been top secret for a while but Adam is over the moon to be going back to Waterloo Road.
“It’s where it all started for him and he was really excited when it was announced the show would be coming back.
“Of course Adam didn’t hesitate in saying yes. It’s something he’s made no secret of and made it clear to bosses he was eager to do.”
Dad-of-two Adam was a teenager when he hit the big time in Waterloo Road.
Seeing him back as Donte will be a fantastic full-circle moment for viewers.
Nigella ’waves goodbye
SHE’S the culinary queen who can do no wrong in my eyes.
So I’m saddened to hear Nigella Lawson feels she can no longer call her microwave by its name after the backlash over how she pronounced the kitchen appliance.
The moment she branded it her ‘meecro-war-vay’ was even nominated for a TV Bafta award.
Speaking during her Evening With Nigella Lawson stage show at Bath Pavilion, she said: “It’s so embarrassing. All families have in-jokes. I mispronounce words.
“But I wasn’t aware that it would cause this, I’ll say it like I said it at home, but it’s made me so self conscious.
“I have to call it the ‘you know what’ now.
“I wasn’t aware I was even doing it, we were astonished.”
Bless her.
North Pole
JORDAN North obviously missed dressing up in the I’m A Celebrity castle uniform so much he’s decided to adopt a different kind of winter outfit.
The Radio One DJ posed as an elf to launch his podcast advent calendar.
He’ll host daily podcasts with his Help I Sexted My Boss co-host William Hanson to guide listeners through Christmas.
Comics’ tumour show joy
BAGGING a BBC Three sitcom was a dream come true for Charly Clive and Ellen Robertson – even if it meant making light of Charly’s brain tumour.
Ellen said: “It was our dream to do comedy together from when we were teenagers re-enacting Smack The Pony and French & Saunders in our bedrooms.”
Charly, who has a large pituitary adenoma, added: “So every time we came to write any kind of comedy it ended up being brain-tumour related, because I guess it’s so much of what we were thinking about.”
The show is based on the duo’s Edinburgh stage show called Britney – the name Charly gave her tumour.
And they’ve signed up Omid Djalili to star as her doctor.
Ellen said: “We simply adore him. He is the nicest man in comedy – we still can’t believe he’s in it.”
Stream Britney from today on BBC Three.
Greenlit
BBC One has greenlit another six episodes of Stephen Merchant’s The Outlaws.
Filming on the second series of the comedy thriller about community service – which stars Christopher Walken – has been completed and will air next year.
Mathew tied up in Notts
HE’s known to millions as kind and funny Gavin Shipman from much loved sitcom Gavin & Stacey.
So Mathew Horne’s acting abilities will be pushed to the limit in his new role of Terry, a ‘dullard ex-husband’.
He has been cast alongside Morgana Robinson as Maxine in new drama Newark, Newark.
And yes, that is a glorious pun placing the Nottinghamshire market town alongside New York.
The action follows chip shop manager Maxine as she tries to ride out her divorce from Terry while her son Leslie comes out as gay.

The show’s creator Nathan Foad was born in Newark. Nathan, who also starred in Sky comedy Bloods, said: “If I could go back in time and tell my teenage self anything, I’d look him straight in his chubby little face and I’d say ‘Growing up different in this town might not be easy, but one day they’re gonna let you make a TV show about it’.”
Newark, Newark will air on Gold in early 2022.
