EASTENDERS' fans are worried there may be another fatality in Albert Square as Stuart Highway's breast cancer story unveils.

BBC One bosses behind its long-running soap EastEnders are currently tackling a potential male breast cancer storyline after funeral director Stuart (played by Ricky Champ) discovered a lump in his breast.

During a recent episode, Stuart discovered he had a rash while at a photoshoot and at a later doctor's appointment was informed he has to give urgent tests for possible signs of breast cancer.

The doctor assured Stuart it's just precautionary and it may be nothing, but they have to be certain that cancer is cleared.

At the appointment, a distressed Stuart begged the doctor to be blunter and spit the C-word out.

He said: "If you're thinking what I'm thinking... is it the word?"

"Male breast cancer's extremely rare," the doctor said as he admitted they won't know until after a biopsy is done.

Eyeing his worried doctor, Stuart said: "But you think I might have it."

Following the upsetting scene, viewers shared their thoughts on Twitter with many predicting Stuart will have breast cancer - and it will be fatal.

One tweeted: "Oh c'mon scriptwriters! Haven't Stuart and Rainie been through enough?"

"Really amazing you're raising awareness of breast cancer in men. Please don't kill Stuart off though! He's my favourite," wrote another fan.

Others hoped: "I hope Stuart doesn't have cancer."

"Stuart, I'm so upset," said another viewer.

Others rushed to encourage that Stuart can beat breast cancer if he has it.

"Watching Stuart's storyline with his rash and possible breast cancer. I had a rash all over my body for days, then a sharp pain in my boob and there it was my lump (tumour) Cancer and mastectomy but I'm alive and loving life," recalled one viewer.
