Remember ‘Fat Pat’ from Little Britain? Actress Joann Condon is unrecognisable now 18 years on from show debut

LITTLE Britain was home to a number of memorable sketches, with the Fat Fighters Club proving to be a favourite among viewers.

During the skit, 'Fat Pat' was a regular target for abuse by Majorie - played by Matt Lucas - who continuously abused her for being overweight.

Since appearing as Pat on the former BBC comedy show in 2003, actress Joan Condon looks completely unrecognisable these days.

During one memorable exchange on the controversial show, an ironically overweight Majorie draws Pat as a pig on a board.

Had enough with being an easy target about her weight, Pat affirms: “You know what, I don’t need this anymore.

“I’m not losing weight. Every time I come here, you’re horrible to me. I’ve had enough.”

The character left the group in the very last episode of the series in 2006 and, since her stint on the show, Joan has never looked better.

Since leaving the series, the 51-year-old has had small appearances in the award-winning comedy The Office and the long-running hospital drama Casualty, both also for the BBC.

Despite Joan making a name for herself on Little Britain, the show has come under intense scrutiny as of late, with blackface normalised in its sketches

A spokesperson for the BBC explained why both shows were removed, saying: "There's a lot of historical programming available on BBC iPlayer, which we regularly review.

"Times have changed since Little Britain first aired, so it is not currently available on BBC iPlayer."
