Six Brits have jetted off to the Costa Del Sol to find The One, but the new show has a huge twist... their hopeful partners can't speak the same language as them.

The sexy singletons have just two weeks to prove that physical chemistry can overcome the language barrier.

Thalia, Tara and Tracy were impressed with what they saw when they met Spanish hunks Cristobal, Jose and Jose Carlos during Tuesday night's episode.

But the fact they couldn't speak English began to make things difficult.

However a number of clever fans are convinced that they CAN all understand each other because of Jose Carlos' occupation.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Yeah one works in a 5 star hotel and the other in Gibraltar. Both will require fluent English as a minimum."

A second said: "He works as a nurse in Gibraltar, but doesn't speak a word of English??? Okayyyyyy.... course he doesn't."

A third sarcastically tweeted: "Sure working in 5 star Hotel in Spain with zero English, I believe that..."

"I dont believe these 3 men dont speak English," a fourth added.

Later on in the episode British lads Akonne, Arran and Luke were introduced to Albania, Kimey and Lucia.

After a few days of getting to know each other the Spanish boys and girls had to pick who they wanted to couple up with.

And while some were happy with their choices, others were left feeling a little disappointed.

From the get go medical student Kimey made it clear she only had eyes for model Akonne, and then Make-up artist Lucia picked labourer Arran.

Albania was left with telecoms engineer Luke, and although she said he's not physically her type on paper, she pointed out that she loves his personality.

Meanwhile careers advisor Tracy and football club administrator Thalia were fighting for Jose Carlos' attention.

But nurse Cristobal swooped in and stole Thalia from Jose Carlos - and the blonde beauty didn't seem too impressed.

Model Carlos then picked schools liaison officer Tara and Jose Carlos went with Tracy.

At the dinner table Jose Carlos and Cristobal then started to argue with each other in Spanish over Thalia - but the Brits had no clue what they were bickering about.

However Tracy had an inkling and said that she won't be someone's second option.

Viewers of the new show love the concept and can't wait to see what drama unfolds.

One wrote on Twitter: "Went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by that first episode."

A second added: "Yup. I enjoyed that. Shame it’s not on nightly."

Another said: "I just love the concept. You might fall in love, and if you don't fall in love you could still get a language certificate. Life is beautiful like that."
