Davina McCall reveals she has an ‘agreement’ with boyfriend Michael Douglas
DAVINA McCall has opened up about her “agreement” with boyfriend Michael Douglas.
The TV star, 54 – who was previously married to Andrew Leggett and Matthew Robertson – has been dating the hairdresser since 2019.
Although Davina is very much in the public eye, she likes to keep her relationship private.
She opened up about why in a recent chat with .
Davina said: “We’ve got an agreement that I don’t talk about our relationship, because our exes and kids don’t have a right to reply, so it’s not fair.
“We won’t ever talk about us in an interview because somehow words linger and we don’t want that.
“The podcast is pretty public, but our relationship isn’t, and that will never change because we don’t need it to.”
Davina and celebrity hairdresser Michael, 47, first met when he styled her hair when she presented Channel 4’s Big Brother.
The pair were great friends before falling in love and then publicly got together in the summer of 2019.
Both of them have been married before and also share children with their exes.
Davina tied the knot with Andre Legget in 1997, but split two years later.
She then went on to marry Matthew Robertson in 2000 and they were together for 17 years.
They share three children together Holly and Tilly, and Chester.
Davina returned to our screens tonight for Channel 4’s new dating programme The Language of Love – and she thinks that viewers are going to love it.
The programme has a HUGE twist – the contestants can’t all speak the same language.
She said: “There were a few really massive eruptions of lust — real love-at-first-sight stuff, where somebody would walk through the door and they were like, ‘Wow!’
“But this show is different from so many other dating shows.
“Firstly, the contestants are different from the usual types of contestants you would find on a dating show.
“They are all invested in finding love and not fame and success.
“The other thing is, because of the cultural differences, it’s so flipping funny.”
However tonight viewers spotted a major clue the hunky men CAN speak English.
One contestant called Carlos Jose works in a five-star hotel and many believe he would have to be able to understand the language to work in such an industry.
One wrote: “He works as a nurse in Gibraltar, but doesn’t speak a word of English??? Okayyyyyy…. course he doesn’t.”
Another said on Twitter: “Sure working in 5 star Hotel in Spain with zero English, I believe that…”
