Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett claims teen turned down £1m offer for his Twitter page
DRAGONS' Den newbie Steven Bartlett has claimed a teenager turned down an offer of at least a million pounds for his Twitter page.
The 29-year-old investor, who has a fortune estimated at £50million, was speaking out about the Politics 4 All account, which recently vanished.
The account, which posted snippets of political news from other sources, was run by student Nick Moar and a small team.
He claimed a company had "offered Nick a huge 7-figure valuation to buy the page" in the days before it was removed.
Steven added: "Nick - a broke 19 year student - said no and insisted it was to remain independent."
He explained: "Whether you like politics for all or not, they generated over a billion impressions on tweets that were critical of the current government and the recent Christmas party scandal.
"Every screenshot I got on WhatsApp regarding the Christmas party scandal originated from their page."
Dragons' Den viewers will be introduced to Steven on the show tonight, as he takes his place on the panel for the first time.
