A second said: "This is trying way too hard #rulesofthegame."

A third chimed in: "Sorry folks. That’s it for me. Not watching anymore #RulesOfTheGame."

Others slammed the 'woke' show with its 'gender neutral toilets' and 'positive affirmations.

One said: "What's that you say... Gender natural bathrooms Is that what high flyers do these days."

Another said: "Gender neutral toilets" OH THE BLOODY WOKE BBC STRIKE AGAIN. NEVER HEARD ANYTHING LIKE IT. WOKE. WOKE. WOKE."

Rules Of The Game takes a look at the sexual politics of the modern workplace, in part inspired by real-life cases of office harassment.

The new thriller's stellar cast includes the likes of Three Girls star Maxine Peake, Sex Education's Rakhee Thakrar and Gavin & Stacey's Alison Steadman.

The four-part series, written by Ruth Lawler, is inspired in part by the real life case of convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein and the ensuing #MeToo movement that saw women around the world share their own experiences of sexual violence.
