Why has Oti Mabuse left Strictly Come Dancing?
OTI Mabuse has wowed viewers and judges on Strictly Come Dancing, since she joined the show in 2015.
However, the dancer has announced she is leaving Strictly Come Dancing after six years as a professional dance partner.
Why has Oti Mabuse left Strictly Come Dancing?
Oti shared the news on Instagram that she has left Strictly Come Dancing on February 22, 2022.
Revealing the news to her 640,000 Instagram followers, she said: “Never easy to say goodbye.
“I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.
“Lifting the glitterball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers!
“You are my family and I adore you all forever.”
She continued to say that she was “honestly so grateful” to the BBC and will always remember that Strictly and the BBC brought her to the UK, which she “now calls home”.
How many times has Oti Mabuse won Strictly Come Dancing?
The Latin American and ballroom dancer, who won the South African Latin American championship eight times, has won Strictly twice.
The first time was in 2019 with her dance partner, former Corrie actor Kelvin Fletcher.
Then she managed to bag another win just a year later in 2020 with comedian Bill Bailey.

Oti had some experience of dancing on the telly prior to Strictly Come Dancing.
She took part in the German version of the BBC One show and moved to Germany to develop her professional career.
She is also a judge on the BBC talent show The Greatest Dancer.
Oti has appeared on Channel 4’s Celebrity Googlebox alongside her siblings, as well as on Celebrity MasterChef.
In December 2021, it was announced that she will be appearing as a judge on Dancing On Ice.
Then in January 2022 it was announced that she would be the host of ITV’s new dating contest Romeo & Duet.
