Vera fans livid as final two episodes delayed by MONTHS in major schedule shake-up
HIT drama series Vera has been delayed yet again, and fans are not happy.
The ITV show's scheduling has been bumped by months, in a repeat of what happened in September 2021.
After only returning to our screens at the start of 2022, viewers are furious after finding out the series will be put on pause after only two weeks of new episodes.
Currently in its 11th season, Vera's fans were over the moon after it was revealed that its latest season will have six episodes, rather than its usual four.
The new season premiered on the last Sunday of August 2021, followed by the second episode the following week.
But the show's return was short-lived as it was delayed due to scenes still being filmed.
The crime drama - which is set in the North East - stars Brenda Blethyn as DCI Vera Stanthorpe, the show's protagonist.
After the show was delayed back in September 2021, ITV confirmed it would resume in 2022.
And whilst they kept their promise, with episodes three and four airing this month, things have been put on ice yet again.

Savvy fans figured out the show was delayed yet again after taking a quick glimpse at the TV guide.
Vera's usual Sunday slot of 8pm-10pm has been replaced by both The Good Karma Hospital at 8pm and Trigger Point at 9pm.
Furious fans took straight to Twitter to air their frustrations.
One was "annoyed" at ITV over their scheduling choices: "getting annoyed at itv for taking vera off for the karma hospital...i know which one i prefer to watch"
Another questioned what was going on: " what’s happened to Vera why put a series back on for 2 episodes and stop it to put another new series on"
Plenty asked the channel for some information regarding its return date: "Gutted to realise is over again, when is it coming back ?"
Sadly for fans, ITV hasn't given any indication as to when Vera will be returning to our screens for episodes five and six.
