The Masked Singer fans think Homes Under the Hammer star is Mushroom after massive hint
THE Masked Singer viewers are convinced that Mushroom is Homes Under the Hammer star Martel Maxwell after another round of clues.
The journalist-turned-presenter has co-presented opposite Martin Roberts on the much-loved BBC One show since 2017.
Mushroom has so far remained unmasked in the hit ITV singing competition, which sees celebs perform from inside elaborate costumes.
Having performed twice and chatted away in two VTs, the mystery star has had plenty of opportunity to give away a whole host of clues.
"There's not a lot of places you won't find mushrooms," the mystery star said. "I've been lucky to be able to leave my forest and plant myself in lots of exciting places.
"It has been nice to be part of the action, and I've seen a lot of places. Honestly, I could never have imaged it all but I try to take it all in my stride."
Explaining they can "take many forms" and "like to start news things", Mushroom's VT also showed the letter W hidden in a bush and two pints of milk.
Mushroom sang hit song There Are Worse Things I Could Do from musical Grease - leaving the judges totally stumped to her identity.
She had previously performed a stunning rendition of It's Oh So Quiet by Bjork, revealing an accent that had fans confused as to where they were from.
Mushroom went on to reveal one fact about themselves in the undecided accent, saying: “I just want to bring peace and love man.”

While Catherine Tate, Sheridan Smith and Aisling Bea have all been thrown into the mix - fans are now convinced they have worked it out.
"Mushroom I’m guessing as Martel Maxwell from Homes Under the Hammer," one fan kickstarted the debate on Twitter.
"I think so, too," a second chimed in, as a third added: "Could be, because there was a mushroom in the House Martel showed this week."
Even Martel herself chimed in on the speculation, writing: "Was it?"
Previously, viewers were certain that Mushroom was comedian Aisling Bea after she posted a cryptic clue on her Instagram stories.
As they sang, judge Davina McCall suggested: "She sounds Irish." While Jonathan Ross commented: "She can sing!"
Fans rushed to Twitter to make their guesses, with Sarah Millican, Jane Horrocks and Pauline McLynn all being named as potential celebrities behind the mask.
But one eagle-eyed viewer claimed that comedian Aisling Bea has 'revealed herself' - after she posted about Bjork on Instagram following Mushroom's performance.
Aisling shared a clip of Bjork accepting the award for Best International Female at the Brit Awards in 1998, adding: "I love this so much."
