1,000-Lb Sisters’ Tammy Slaton checks into rehab again for weight after star sparked concern with ‘reckless’ behavior
The 1,000-LB SISTERS' star, Tammy Slaton, has checked into rehab again for her weight after she sparked concern with her "reckless" behavior.
The Sun can exclusively reveal Tammy, 35, has checked into a rehab facility in Ohio for weight loss after a failed stint at treatment.
A source close to Tammy exclusively claimed to The Sun: "She is in a facility and she's getting help."
The source alleged: "This summer she was a bit reckless. There were times when I said, 'You have a TV show about your weight. Why are you eating this?'
"I was very blunt with her."
According to the source, Tammy admitted herself into the facility before the holidays.
The source claimed: "She is doing it on her own. The show is not paying for it, she's paying for it.
"She's doing it on her own and she's choosing to be close to eight hours away from her family."
Tammy plans to remain at the facility until summer.
The insider explained: "I know that she wants to be out this summer. She has a goal for herself. Because again, she's paying for this. She has a goal for herself to get out this summer."

Tammy's sister Amy, 34, and her family all live in Dixon, Kentucky where the show is filmed.
Amy recently moved out of the duplex home she shared with Tammy on the first few seasons of the show and into her own home where she's starting a new life with her husband and one-year-old son Gage.
On the first season of 1,000-Lb Sisters, Amy lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery, while Tammy did not.
After the surgery, Amy was finally at a weight where could safely deliver a child and fulfill her life-long dream of being a mom.
The source alleged there has been no source of jealousy between Tammy and Amy, despite Amy taking control of her own life.
The source said: "What's impressed me is that Tammy's choosing to commit. I think she's kind of taking a step back to see the big picture.
"I know that Gage has influenced her decision. She wants to be home and see Gage and she feels like she's missing out on Gage's first two years of life."
PAST REHAB
In season two of the show, Tammy entered rehab to help lose weight.
She lost 60 pounds and had just 40 more to go to reach her weight goal and be able to get surgery.
But Tammy left the facility early, as she promised to continue dieting and exercising at home.
When she returned home, she gained the weight back.
CONCERN FOR TAMMY
Tammy has been posting photos from the facility on her Instagram.
Fans assumed she was in a hospital and expressed their concern for her, as she had a trach.
Followers shared supportive messages for the TV star in the comments, with many pleading for her to get the help she needs.
One fan wrote: "As always, sending prayers that you are prioritizing your health and taking the help we all need at times. I believe in you."
While many others echoed the statement, praying for the star to "get healthy."
Fans feared for the TLC star's well-being were heightened after Tammy weighed in at 639 pounds.
Tammy's family has also been concerned about her unhealthy habits, as her family thought her smoking and drinking were adding fuel "to the fire."
Those close to Tammy heard her party lifestyle was "starting to take a toll" on the star and worried about what her future will hold.
On the latest episode of the TLC show titled, End of an Era, her brother Chris Combs explained his concerns about his sister's lifestyle after she refused to join him for a doctor's appointment.
"She has enough health problems without adding more to the fire," he said in a confessional interview.
He then turned to his family for guidance on how to handle Tammy's declining health: "Do we just let her live and be comfortable, and plan, for her not being here in five years, and take care of all the arrangements?" he asked.
Their sister Amanda agreed, upset that Tammy won't take her health seriously: "It sucks to have to sit and have a conversation like that about final arrangements when she has the opportunity to change."
The scene concludes with Chris admitting that the family is "at the end of our rope" and that he will address the situation to his doctor to get some professional advice on the next steps to help Tammy.
MOVING ON
As Tammy has been on her own and has moved to the Ohio rehab facility, Amy has been settling down into her new life.
The Sun exclusively revealed Amy's new three-bedroom, one-bath Kentucky home was listed for $37K in July of last year.
Only a 30-minute drive away from Amy's old home, the single-story, 1,584-square-foot house was built in 1960, and has a dark red brick exterior with white trimming.
The modest home includes three bedrooms with wooden doors and floors.
The kitchen includes a sink, stove, and wooden cabinets, while the one bathroom also includes a shower and a bathtub.
There is a backyard with a single tree where little Gage can run around and play.
When Amy broke the news to Tammy that she's moving soon, Amy said: "I just made an offer on a house and they accepted it."
Tammy replied: "Okay. Whatever."
Amy said the house is in their hometown and is right next to a park.
Amy continued: "Gage has his own room. He doesn't have to sleep in the kitchen.
"And it has a big a** dining room. I want to get a family picnic table we can put in there."
Tammy said she wanted her sister to "go for it."
When Amy asked if Tammy "would be alright on her own," Tammy responded, "We'll find out."
In a confessional, Amy said: "Tammy would never admit it, but she wants me to stick around because she's afraid of being alone.
"But I still gotta do what's right for my family. Gage comes before Tammy, I'm sorry."
TAMMY'S CRIB
Before the sister's recent major life changes, Amy and Tammy shared a duplex home in Dixon, Kentucky.
Amy, until recently, lived right next door to her sister Tammy, to help her at a moment's notice due to her ailing health and obesity.
The 1,976 square foot home is currently valued at $239,000.
The duplex has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, of which Amy and Tammy lived on their respective sides up until Amy moved.
Tammy's space appears to be tight and cluttered, as she is shown struggling to get through door frames and small hallways from clips on the show.
Her side of the duplex includes a living room with a couch, a small living table, and a television.
