Sister Wives’ Kody Brown claims he did NOT ‘abandon’ wife Meri as fans begs star’s first wife to leave relationship
SISTER Wives' Kody Brown claimed he did not "abandon" his wife Meri as fans continue to beg her to "leave" the relationship.
The pair agreed to divorce in 2014 so Kody could legally marry his fourth wife, Robyn, and adopt her children.

During the first part of the Sister Wives sit-down, the family opened up about Meri's cat-fishing drama which had the 51-year-old discovering she was speaking to a woman online and not a man like she originally thought.
After recapping what went down, Kody tells the special's host Sukanya Krishnan of Meri: "... there was a hardness in our marriage that was so difficult and so antagonistic that I didn't know why we were in it.
"... it took a lot of counseling for me to finally go, 'Meri, I just don't see us back together."
After Sukanya asked, "why not leave her?" Kody responds, "it's a double standard. They can leave whenever they want. I can't."
Sukanya said: "It's not a double standard because you emotionally have left and abandoned in some ways."
"Abandoned? Please!" Kody raged. "Take the word back because I take offense to that word of 'abandonment.'"

He continued: "When Meri had an affair she was leaving my a**! She made it clear to everyone that she was getting out of there... and she can't admit it now.
"She was leaving me for a better, richer man."
'MERI, LEAVE!'
Despite Kody's side of things, fans were still quick to take it to Twitter to urge Meri, 51, to finally leave the relationship.
One person wrote: "Meri, your relationship is over with Kody- he is clearly saying it to the world. You deserve to be in a loving relationship."
Another said: "Please leave, Meri! He said he doesn't want you!" while a third chimed in, "Meri, get out now!"
'I LOVE HIM'
However, while fans urged the TV star to exit the relationship, Meri still has "hope" of things turning around after all these years, and she's still "committed."
Sukanya asked Meri: "Do you feel there is a future for you and Kody as a married couple in full fellowship together?"
Meri responded: "I want there to be... I love him... I just feel peace when I think about staying in the family because that's what I want."
"I'm never going to be in a conjugal relationship with her," Kody would later say in the special.
NO LOVE
During the episode, Meri also revealed she and Kody "haven’t had sex in a decade."
Kody explained: "There's a point where intimacy is just damaged. It's misleading to have intimacy in a relationship where there is no real safety, I'm not going there."
Fans have watched Kody and Meri's struggles unfold on screen, first revealing their lack of intimacy back in April.
CHRISTINE WALKS AWAY
Aside from Meri and Robyn, Kody is also in a relationship with Janelle, however, his third wife, Christine, recently parted ways from him in November.
She said: "After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.
"We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family."
