Celebrity Bake Off full line-up revealed including Strictly star, legendary Olympian and one of the show’s own hosts
THERE will be a familiar face competing in the Great British Bake Off Celebrity special this year – the show’s co-host Matt Lucas.
The funnyman was drafted in at the eleventh hour for one of the five episodes after a famous baker pulled out.
So now he’ll get to see what it’s really like baking while being grilled by fellow presenter Noel Fielding.
Matt says: “I was forced to bake by my bosses at the last minute when one of the bakers became unavailable.
“I can’t tell you how happy I was that my humiliation was caught on camera.”
Other stars featuring in the series, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, include singer Ellie Goulding, TV host Emma Willis, Olympian Sir Mo Farah and Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison.
Taskmaster creator Alex Horne, Strictly’s Motsi Mabuse and Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore will also be appearing in the tent, joining comedian Ed Gamble, chat show host Ruby Wax, choirmaster Gareth Malone, musician Yung Filly and actress Katherine Kelly.
Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will again be tasked with tasting their bakes, overseen by hosts Noel and Matt – apart from the episode in which he bakes.
The series will air later in the spring on Channel 4.
