Fans of the hit show have recalled how this was the "most uncomfortable scene" to watch in the "entire series".
Viewers were appalled by her mom April's brutal comments - including vile remarks about her looking like a "sardine" and saying that her daughter looked "ugly" in a dress.
April then stormed out of the clothing outlet and got into an expletive row with her daughter, repeatedly calling her a "rude b****" and telling her to "f*** off" as things got more and more heated.
The shocking scene may be 12 years old but fans were still disgusted by the nasty comments.
One angry viewer wrote: "So painful to watch. Totally remember these scenes. Cait never deserved any of the shit her Mom dished out. No wonder she needed therapy between her and Butch. Cait was the parent…certainly not those 2."
Another posted: " I might sound ridiculous, but this just makes me tear up. I have two teenage nieces and I couldn’t imagine speaking to them like this EVER. My heart just breaks for teen cate."

Catelynn, 29, and partner Tyler Baltierra, 30, and have been together since high school and tied the knot in 2015.
They have four daughters together - Carly, 12, who they gave up for adoption when they were teenagers, Novalee, 7, Vaeda, 2, and Rya, who was born last year.
With a long history on the MTV show, Catelynn recently set the record straight amid rumors she and Tyler are calling it quits.
A Twitter using Teen Mom OG in its handle shared a link to an article claiming Catelynn and Tyler are divorcing.
Rumors have swirled about the pair before - some even shared by Catelynn.
She was quick to shut these rumors down, however.
Catelynn retweeted the account, writing: "No we aren't" with a shrugging emoji.
Fans were quick to get on her case about it, as several noted that she shared a similar - if not the same - story .

Catelynn also left fans confused about the status of her romance with Tyler late last year.
The mom-of-four posted a collage of photos of her and Tyler on social media.
She captioned the post: "This is hard to admit but here's our official statement on no longer being together. Thanks for your love and support."
Catelynn encouraged her followers to learn more about the post, directing them to click on the link in her bio.
While she shut off comments on the post, fans still made their feelings known online.
