There over 15-year relationship has stood the test of time, battling obstacles that only the strongest couples could endure as fans have continued to watch their journey on the small screen.
Meeting at just 13-years-old, the pair had no idea what their whirlwind romance would become as just a few years later Catelynn got pregnant with their daughter Carly.
Knowing they could not provide for their daughter, they made the difficult decision to put the newborn up for adoption - a heartbreaking moment that Teen Mom fans watched on the MTV series 16 and Pregnant.
Only teens themselves, the couple arranged an open adoption for their first born child as she immediately went under the care of her adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa.
In the heartwarming birth video, Catelynn and Tyler hugged together as they refused to see their daughter after she was first born.
Tyler whispered words of encouragement to his girlfriend as Carly was whisked away into the arms of her adoptive parents.
Fans were relieved when Catelynn and Tyler's storyline continued on the network's spin-off series Teen Mom OG, capturing their lives following Carly's birth, which made the pair closer than ever.

At just 17, Tyler asked Catelynn to marry him as he sobbed through the proposal at a fancy restaurant.
"I want you to be mine forever and I want you to old grow with me," he told her.
"You were there for me through everything. And I wanted to ask you if you would marry me."
ROCKY ROAD
However, a few months into their engagement, their relationship had already hit a bump in the road when Tyler discovered that Catelynn had lied about hooking up with an ex while they were on a short break.
This caused Tyler to lose trust in Catelynn and their relationship suffered, though they remained together.
Then in 2012, the pair appeared on an episode of Couples Therapy encouraging some difficult discussions that ultimately ended their engagement.
In an emotional conversation, Tyler told his sweetheart that he had no idea if he wanted to marry her.
"So you don't know if you want to spend the rest of your life with me?" the mom asked him in tears.
"No, I don't!" he told her before she demanded he leave her alone.
The two even revealed they had different interests in sex as Tyler demanded it all the time and Catelynn was not interested.
Tyler called off their engagement as he revealed he was not 100 percent committed and ready for marriage.
REKINDLED ROMANCE
They made their way back together again a few months later, as Tyler upgraded the ring to the huge diamond that Catelynn still wears.
Shortly after, they announced that they were expecting their second child, daughter Novalee, who they welcomed in January 2015.
The lovebirds returned to reality TV to tie the knot in front of MTV cameras a few months after in a sweet ceremony.
"I promise that as long as I'm alive, you will never be alone. You will never question if you are beautiful, you will never doubt if you are worthy, and you will never wonder if you are loved," Tyler professed to his wife.
"You are my angel, my soulmate, my best friend. I believe you were brought into this world and destined to be loved by me, cherished by me, and I anxiously wait to love you my whole life."
Catelynn added: "We have created two beautiful children together and shared so many important life goals with one another.
"From this day forward, I promise to care for you in the good and bad times, be loyal to you always, and share happiness and laughter, but most of all, I promise to give you my love and support and cherish and respect you throughout our lives together."
Their bond became strained once again when Catelynn battled postpartum depression following their daughter's birth.
She sought treatment numerous times admitting to having suicidal thoughts.
Her depression escalated after she suffered a miscarriage, which she told her husband at the time she would understand if he wanted to divorce her as she "had put him through so much."
The two continued to work on their marriage, eventually welcoming a third daughter - their rainbow baby - in 2019.
"It was a huge shock at first," Catelynn told Us Weekly at the time.
"We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness.
"We were going to wait a really long time. We were using protection and everything and still got pregnant!
"This baby just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected."
Their daughter Vaeda was born in February of that year.
Their growing family, however, was not masking their own struggles that had yet to be resolved.
Prior to Vaeda's birth, Tyler revealed that he was also unhappy in the relationship prompting a brief separation where they lived separately for a month.
As they tried to keep their issues private, Catelynn revealed to MTV: "We’ve been together so long that it’s like ‘Who are you as a person by yourself?”
"But in that moment [of Tyler asking to live separately], it triggered me and it did bring up wounds and it was scary and sad and it was hurtful."
VOW RENEWAL
The break seemed to be just what they needed as they gushed about each other on social media shortly after rekindling.
In one post, Catelynn wrote on his picture: "I love you tylerbaltierramtv, you are seriously AMAZING."
He then replied: “I love you too babe and regardless of what anyone says, just remember….You are BEAUTIFUL. You are STRONG. You are WORTHY. You are SAFE!"
They started fresh by purchasing their historic octagon-shaped farmhouse for their then family-of-four.
On an episode of Teen Mom OG, Catelynn surprised her husband with a vow renewal ceremony during a vacation in Hawaii.
The oceanside ceremony was in celebration of their fifth wedding anniversary as fans were reminded of the challenges they faced in a series of flashbacks from their earlier years.
The emotional footage proved just how far the couple have come.
They were faced with another challenge after Catelynn suffered another miscarriage following rumors that they were expecting another child.
She shared the devastating news with fans in a heartbreaking post which read: “I WAS Pregnant and excited to share it with all of you and I am heartbroken to reveal that I lost the baby.
“I am sharing this to let you know you are not alone.
However, the couple were blessed with another rainbow baby just two months later, revealing that they were having yet another daughter.
"This rainbow was worth the storm. Baby Baltierra coming soon," the mom shared along with a sonogram and a positive pregnancy test.
SWEET FAMILY
In June, Catelynn and Tyler celebrated their 15-year anniversary of when they first got together when they were barely teens.
Tyler, 30, shared a sweet snapshot of himself and Catelynn, 29, along with a sweet message for his love writing: "You still make me feel as if we were goofy kids! I love you so much babe."
In the poetic post, the reality star added: "Staying up talking late at night. Snuggle close right by my side. Hair tickling my nose, I don’t mind.
"Go ahead, lay down your head. Feel my heartbeat in your hand.
Just let me hold you until the night ends."
In response to his post, Catelynn said in the comments section: "I simply adore you so much!"
The MTV star thanked her husband for ";always treating me like a queen."
They since welcomed their newest addition, daughter Rya Rose in August.
Last month, they celebrated the little one turning four months old after fans questioned if the young dad was "hurt" that "she" wasn't a "he."
Tyler and Catelynn have both discussed their desire to have a son together as they both made it clear Rya was the final piece to complete ther family.
But Tyler seems to have gotten over any disappointment, often gushing about the newborn and about being a "girl dad."
