Louis George Ashbourne Serkis is born on June 19, 2004 in Haringey, North London.

The 17-year-old actor is is the youngest son of actor and director Andy Serkis and actress Lorraine Ashbourne and has an older sister, Ruby, and an older brother, Sonny.

Louis is best known for his roles as Alex in the 2019 fantasy adventure film The Kid Who Would Be King and 2016's Alice Through The Looking Glass.

In 2022, the actor takes on the role of teenage Noah in the ITV drama No Return, appearing alongside Sheridan Smith.

Louis' star father is Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis.

Serkis is one of the highest-grossing actors of all time and his film work in motion capture has been critically acclaimed.

He has worked in some of the biggest franchises in Hollywood, including Lord of the Rings, King Kong and Star Wars.

Serkis rose to fame as Gollum in the Lord of the Rings series, directed by Peter Jackson.

He worked with Peter Jackson again as the titular character in the 2005 remake King Kong.

He then scored a role in the Star Wars franchise as the enigmatic Snoke.

Louis Ashbourne Serkis made his film debut in May 2016, when he played the Young Hatter in Alice Through the Looking Glass.

But the actor first took part in a film production when he was only eight, appearing as a young hobbit in the 2012 The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey alongside his father.

In July 2017, he portrayed Peter in the English version of Mary and the Witch's Flower, before starring as Alex in 2019 The Kid Who Would Be King.

Louis has also appeared on TV, playing Robert in 2017 series Taboo and Douggie Archer in BBC One drama SS-GB.

Ashbourne Serkis comes back to the small screen in February 2022 as Noah in ITV's No Return.
