Years after leaving Weatherfield for Portugal and following her daughter Katy's tragic death, Linda (played by actress Jacqueline Leonard) makes a comeback to the cobbles.

Back in 2017, Linda allowed Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) to take care of her grandson, Joseph (William Flanagan), in the hopes that a bond with his father would help him process his mother's passing.

But upon her return to Weatherfield, Linda finds Chesney swamped and overwhelmed, struggling to keep his family life in balance as the father of five children.

Stu Carpenter shows dark side in clash with Tracy Barlow

In upcoming scenes due on our screens next week, Stu insists that it's time he payed Yasmeen rent after having opened his Speed Daal wage packet.

But while all is now well for the character - who lost his job at a pub due to the Covid-19 pandemic before being estranged from his family - he is thrown by Tracy's rudeness.

When Tracy brags to him and Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) about the fine wine tasting experience her stepfather Ken (William Roache) got her for Christmas, Stu decides it's time that outspoken, high and mighty Tracy got taken down a peg or two.

When Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) surveys his stock delivery, he’s annoyed to realise they’ve given him some cheap, nasty wine by mistake.

Stu sees this as a great opportunity to get his plan into action and steams the labels off the cheap bottles of wine and the expensive ones meant for Tracy.

Stu later drops the case of wine round to No.1, making out it was delivered to the wrong house and walks off, grinning to himself.

Ready for her wine tasting, Tracy sets out the bottles that Ken bought her and invites Steve (Simon Gregson) and Mary (Patti Clare).

But everyone soon struggles with the disgusting selection on offer.

Fans convinced they have spotted a clue proving Max Turner spiked Amy Barlow

Fans are convinced they have spotted another clue that proves Max Turner spiked Amy Barlow.

In a recent episode Max discovered that Amy had been the one rushed to hospital.

Max looked guilty as David explained what happened to Amy.

But when David told him he was keeping him away from the school until the spiker had been caught, Max tried to argue back.

He told his son: “I’m not putting you at risk for the sake of flipping AV club.

“I tell you what’s important - not having to go through what I did and having to live with it every single day.

“So until the school find out who spiked that drink, you can stay at home.”

David stormed off leaving Max furious.

Shona talked him out of arguing but fans think it’s another clue that proves Max spiked Amy’s drink accidentally.

They are sure he was trying to spike Daniel Osbourne for letting slip about David’s ordeal.

And they are shocked he would stoop so low.

One wrote: "Well the obvious culprit is Max."

A second said: "Max 100% spiked that drink"

Sally Metcalfe exit storyline revealed

The Coronation Street stalwart is set to exit the cobbles, convinced she won't be missed, after learning her sister needs help.

For several weeks, Sally (played by actress Sally Dynevor) remained unaware of her husband Tim's (Joe Duttine) health struggles.

But after he collapsed during a confrontation, the cabbie was forced to undergo massive heart surgery and come clean to his other half.

In upcoming scenes of the ITV soap, Sally meets with Abi Webster (Sally Carman) in Victoria Garden and tells her she has made a drastic choice.

Sally will be leaving Weatherfield to stay in Newcastle with her sister Gina Seddon (portrayed by Connie Hyde from 2017 to 2019).

This is mostly due to her mother-in-law's presence at No.4.

Chas and Mandy Dingle in huge fight

A new episode of the ITV soap, due on our screens next, shows Liv’s excitement when Vinny tells her that he has a friend of a friend in Daventry who could help them.

As a registrar, this friend accepts to bend the rules slightly in their favour.

Meanwhile, Mandy (Lisa Riley) is oblivious to her son Vinny's engagement.

But she is soon brought out of the dark along with Chas (Lucy Pargeter) as both women heard the backend of a conversation between Liv, Vinny and Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).

However, things soon take a turn when Chas jumps to the conclusion that Liv has gone back to drinking, which causes her and Mandy to exchange words.

Chas hasn't been Liv's greatest supporter and even abandoned her when she was jailed.

Later on, Paddy finds himself at the wrong place at the wrong time when he walks in and sense the tense atmosphere between his wife and Mandy.

Both Chas and Mandy are chewing wasps, clearly upset over the news.

Vinny and Liv are at a loss when faced with the drama caused and wonder how they could ever tell their family and settle on a decision.

Amanda Barrie: Corrie stopped me from coming out

CORONATION Street icon Amanda Barrie has claimed it wasn't possible for her to come out publicly while she was on the soap.

Amanda, who played Alma Sedgewick in the ITV drama for 20 years, made the bombshell comments on Loose Women today.

The 86-year-old actress refused to confirm her sexuality while starring on the soap and later came out as bisexual.

She has previously insisted that she would have been fired if she came out in the 1980s.

"There was no camp of any kind at that time," Amanda stated.

"There was various people in charge of the show so, they call[ed] the tune. Do we call it homophobic? Call it what you like..."

The TV star, who tied the knot with writer Hilary in 2014, confessed only a few close friends on the long-running soap knew the truth.

Danny Dyer on ‘tough week’ (continued...)

Danny continued to encourage others to speak about their negative headspace - insisting it had made him "feel a lot better".

"Anyone out there that is struggling, you've got to open your mouth and say it. Stop saying to people, 'I'm fine,' because if you're f***ing not then express it," the Mick Carter actor added.

"Now I've expressed it, I feel slightly better. Still a little f***ed in the nut, not going to lie. But anyone out there who is with me, don't worry. I'm going through it as well."

He concluded with a final encouragement: "It's OK and you will come through it."

EastEnders' Danny Dyer opens up on ‘tough week’

The soap actor opened up that he was "not f***ing fine" as he chatted to daughter Dani on their  podcast.

Danny, 44, revealed that he had been "struggling" with his mental health, before encouraging his daughter he would "get through it".

The star explained: "I've had a tough week, mentally. You need to express it, this is what it's about now.

"We go through these times when we just don't know how the f**k we are, and we struggle being who we are. Whatever the f**k that is.

"It's been on me a little, my brain has been attacking me. It's really difficult, and I wanted to put that out there because I needed to do that."

Emmerdale’s most blood-thirsty serial killers

UNHINGED and vengeful Meena Jutla made her return to the Dales last week, ahead of Dawn and Billy's Valentine's Day nuptials, but she's not the only character that's caused chaos in the Dales.

Nothing could have possibly prepared Emmerdale viewers and residents for the rampage Lachlan was about to set on as he first befriended Belle Dingle upon his arrival in 2014. His victims include members of his own family (but also a bird he killed at the age of four).

Emmerdale residents - and more particularly Rhona Goskirk - are safe from Pierce as he recently passed away in prison. During his time in Emmerdale, Pierce only killed one character but continues to haunt the memories of those he terrorised.

Although she wasn't the most blood-thirsty of killers, Emma Barton shares a lot with other murderers of the Dales. Emma was first introduced to ITV viewers in 2015, when she first arrived in the village.

And one of the most famous serial killers in Emmerdale, Cameron Murray was particularly cruel. The haulage driver first stepped into the village in March, 2011, after initially embarking on an affair with Debbie Dingle a year before, when she was working in Jersey.
Some of Cameron's victims included Carl King (October, 2012), Alex Moss (December, 2012) and Gennie Walker (July, 2013).

Katie McGlynn on quitting Hollyoaks

The 28-year-old bid farewell to her character Becky Quentin yesterday evening in an emotional post – as she hinted at other opportunities.

The star joined the soap in July of last year – 18 months after her Coronation Street character Sinead Tinker was killed off.

Sharing the news after her exit aired on E4's first look this evening, she wrote: "Becky Quentin, over and out! @HollyoaksOfficial.

"It’s been an absolute pleasure playing Becky and getting my teeth into something so different and gritty!

"As an actor, to be able to portray someone that has so much likeness to extremely current global issues from conspiracy theories to anti-vaxxers, corona virus and sinophobia… I really hope the storyline has helped raise some important issues and helps people see how easy it is for someone to be sucked into this whole world of fake news and conspiracy!"

Katie added: "Thank you to the entire cast and crew for being so unbelievably amazing and welcoming me with open arms! I will miss you all, but other exciting opportunities beckon."

EastEnders’ Danny Boy Hatchard shows off girlfriend

EASTENDERS star Danny Boy Hatchard has shown off his rarely-seen girlfriend in a sweet Valentine's Day social media post.

The actor - who played Lee Carter in the BBC soap opera - took to Instagram with a series of selfies with Kerry Scouler.

Danny Boy, 30, could be seen cuddling up to the fashion graduate in the sweet photographs, as he referred to the couple as "the A Team".

In one snap, the star could be seen standing behind his girlfriend - who looked glamorous in a leather jacket - as they posed for a selfie.

Fans went wild over the sweet Valentine's post, and took to the comments to dub the pair the "best couple ever".

Emmerdale spoilers: Vinny & Liv flee

In future instalments of the long-running drama, due on our screens next week, the couple make the decision to flee the eponymous village to elope.

Vinny first tells Liv a friend of a friend in Daventry is a registrar willing to bend the rules for them.

Whil Mandy is still in the dark about their engagement, much like other residents, the lovebirds joke about what she’d do to them if she found out after they got married.

Although excited, Liv feels guilty about her secret wedding plans the next day.

The enthusiasm still grows when their wedding bands arrive, but both Liv and Vinny conceal their doubts from each other about not telling their family.

Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) is pleased to learn that they've cancelled their elopement.

However, Vinny and Liv realise that Chas and Mandy have heard the backend of their conversation at the Hide café and desperately try to find a way out of the hole they've dug for themselves.

EastEnders fans in shock as Jean Slater strips

EASTENDERS fans are in shock after Jean Slater stripped off for a saucy romp in the launderette.

The cleaner - who is played by actress Gillian Wright in the BBC soap - revealed her fantasy last night to date Harvey Monroe. As Harvey asked about which restaurant they should go to, Jean began stripping off.

The pair then romped in front of Dot’s former washers and dryers leaving fans truly shocked.

What EastEnders & Hollyoaks' Gemma Bissix is up to now

Following her soap days, the TV star continued to pursue a career in the world of show business with a number of other roles.

She's also dabbled in reality shows including Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Masterchef, Hole in the Wall and Total Wipeout.

Gemma played Amanda Hudgens in Ghetto Heaven in 2017, and revealed she was almost cast for ITV soap Emmerdale.

It was revealed Gemma auditioned for the role of Andrea Tate before the job was given to fellow soap actress Anna Nightingale.

She said in 2020: "I auditioned for Emmerdale last January. It was just a self tape, I got really lovely feedback actually, saying it was great and lovely to see you and stuff like that.

"But it was quite a similar role, a bitchy kind of role so even when I did the script I thought to myself it's a bit kind of like I went back to EastEnders and it was a bit bitchy and obviously Hollyoaks..."

Aside from her acting work, Gemma is also mum to two children with her partner Kristian Ruse, who soften shares snaps with on social media.

EastEnders & Hollyoaks star Gemma Bissix unrecognisable

Fans will recognise Gemma, 38, from her younger years, when she was cast as young Clare aged nine - a character she played throughout her teens.

The Surrey-born actress featured in over 200 episodes of EastEnders between 1993 and 2008, before briefly re-appearing in 2013. Her return to Albert Square was short-lived, as her character was killed off by Doctor Browning, who shockingly ran her over with his car.

Hollyoaks fans will also be very familiar with the actress, as she played Clare Cunningham from 2006 to 2013.

Now, the actress looks a world away from her former characters, appearing all grown up - despite keeping her lighter tresses.

Gemma was recently spotted on the red carpet, keeping it casual in a white blouse, shorts and boots as she revealed her changing visage.

Emmerdale shock at Meena Jutla's evil ways

The serial killer - who is played by actress Paige Sandhu in the ITV soap - took Dawn and Billy hostage on their wedding day on Monday night.

But last night she revealed she had two other victims - while shooting a fifth.

Dawn and Billy desperately battled for their lives as Meena tried to force them to play a sick game where they choose who should get shot.

But as Leyla drove to the location of the limo, she spotted it was Meena and desperately tried to escape by reversing.

However before she had a chance Meena fired her gun.

When Ben (Max Bowden) overhears this, he warns Tommy but the youngster is having none of it.

Coronation Street spoilers: Izzy Armstrong returns

Ready to take action, Linda first slyly suggests Joseph should come live with her in Portugal in scenes due to air on our screens next week.

Fuming, Chesney throws Linda out of the house, making it clear to her that she is to stay away from Joseph in the future.

Later on, Chesney and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) discuss how they can ensure Joseph's happiness… while the young boy listens in.

After misunderstanding the conversation, Joseph is convinced that he is not wanted at No.5 anymore and says he would rather live with Granny Linda.

But while Chesney begs his son to reconsider, another member of the Armstrong clan steps out of the woodwork.

Linda's second daughter Izzy returns to Weatherfield to cross swords with her estranged mother, tearing a strip off her for trying to take Joseph away from his family.

The first member of her family to be introduced to Corrie fans, Izzy was followed into the cobbles by her father and sister Katy soon after her arrival.
