Freddie Flintoff quits A League Of Their Own after 12 years on the show- leaving fans heartbroken
FREDDIE Flintoff has quit A League of Their Own after 12 years and fans aren't happy.
The 44-year-old announced the news on Instagram, posting a snap of him in drag on the show and one showing him with his co-stars Jamie Redknapp, Jack Whitehall and James Corden.
Alongside the pictures cricketer Freddie wrote: "It's been 12 years, 16 series, six road trips across America and a mud bath I'd rather forget.
"But now the time has come to leave the amazing ALOTO team.
"I'd like to say a huge thanks to all of you who tuned in over the years and to everyone I have worked with on the show - what an unforgettable journey it's been."
Some fans didn't take the news well and rushed to Twitter to share their upset over Freddie's shock exit.
One wrote: "Well Freddie Flintoff leaving #ALOTO has ruined my Monday."
And another added: "Freddie Flintoff leaving ALOTO is not the news I needed today."
With more time on his hands now we might see Freddie on Strictly Come Dancing in the not-so-distant future.
He previously told The Sun he would take part in the BBC1 competition - but only if he was paired with a male partner.
