Richard Madeley admits huge blunder after letting daughter Chloe’s pregnancy slip WEEKS ago on live podcast

GOOD Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley accidentally let slip his daughter Chloe was pregnant weeks before her official announcement.

Chloe, 34, is expecting her first bundle of joy with her retired rugby-player husband James Haskell, 36.

James revealed the happy news on GMB during an interview with his father-in-law on Tuesday, followed by an Instagram post on his account.

Chloe also posted to her social media after her husband’s appearance on GMB.

Since their big reveal the whole family has been inundated with messages of congratulations, including grandad-to-be, Richard.

He started Wednesday’s show by thanking everyone who had flooded them with messages, but then revealed his own blunder around the announcement.

“Before we go on, can I just say a huge thank you to all of you who sent such really lovely messages yesterday, after we announced the impending birth of my… fifth, fourth is it? Fourth grandchild, a daughter,” he started.

“James Haskell, Chloe’s husband, was here and he announced it. You all flooded in with just lovely comments.”

But then Richard confessed he actually let slip about Chloe’s pregnancy while she was recording a podcast.

“Well I nearly gave it away. When she was about two and a half months pregnant, she was doing a podcast at home, she’d come home for a couple of days,” he explained on GMB.

“She was doing a podcast, and I didn’t know, and I walked in, and she said, ‘Dad, I’m just doing something here,’ and I didn’t know we were live. I said, ‘Oh, is it your hormones?’.”

During his interview on GMB, James paid tribute to Richard, 65, saying he was the best grandad in the world to his first grandson Kit, three.

Delighted host Richard then shared a picture of Chloe’s 12 week baby scan.

Chloe, 34, waited for the telly announcement before sharing her joy on Instagram and included a happy photo with her rarely seen mum.

Along with her husband, Judy is a veteran presenter but retired from TV after 43 years in the spotlight and is rarely seen on her family’s social media.

Chloe’s pregnancy announcement post featured a time lapse video of the baby’s scans as it grows inside her belly and a loved-up photo with James.

Another photo included her mum Judy celebrating the good news with Chloe.
