EASTENDERS fans are in shock after the wage thief was revealed to be Jean Slater.
The cleaner - who is played by actress Gillian Wright in the BBC soap - swiped almost £500 in wages for Harvey Monroe earlier this week.
Viewers didn’t know who had taken it from Kat Slater’s taxi office - but tonight the truth was finally revealed.
She announced to Harvey that she was whisking him off to a hotel to take his mind of testifying against his Nazi son Aaron.
And as the pair enjoyed an afternoon romp in Harvey’s flat, they were interrupted by his daughter Dana.
Hearing Jean talk about the hotel they were visiting, Dana showed an interest and Jean rushed to get her handbag to show her the details.
But as she messed about with her bag to pull out the information for the holiday, an envelope fell out.
It was then confirmed that Jean had been the one to steal Harvey’s wages.
And she left the proof in her own bag.
She has let Tommy Moon take the blame for her theft.
He ended up injuring mum Kat Slater after she grabbed him while accusing him of the crime.
He again denied it tonight but Kat doesn’t believe him.
And fans are disgusted that Jean has done that to a young boy.
