VIEWERS were left feeling very old today after Children's BBC legend Kirsten O'Brien appeared on TV and revealed her age.
The presenter, famous for fronting SMArt and other kids telly classics in the 90s and 2000s, appeared on Steph's Packed Lunch.
She appeared as part of The Great British Kids’ TV Presenter Cook Off leaving fans shocked that she is now 50.
Many were stunned that the youthful-looking presenter had hit her half-century with one gasping: "No way is Kirsten O’Brien 50!"
Speaking to host Steph McGovern, she revealed that she once asked Declan Donnelly on a date - and rung up his agent to ask.
Feeling the pair - both kids TV stars at the time - would be a good match, she explained she'd been urged to call by Fearne Cotton.

She explained: "Based on the fact that he was single and I had a dream that we were together and it just seemed to make so much sense.
"The next day I was with Fearne Cotton and she egged me on, but didn’t give me his number, gave me his agent’s number. Wise girl.
“So I ended up ringing his agent and going – I can remember it so clearly – ‘He’s single, I’m single, ask him if he wants to go out for a boogie.’"
Steph looked momentarily confused, thinking Kirsten had said "buggy".

The kids TV legend added: "Boogie. Like it was the 70s" before adding: "He never got back to me!”
Joking that she and Kirsten were often mistaken for one another Steph told her: "It’s so nice to have you here because I spend my life telling everyone I’m not you.”
Laughing, Kirsten replied: “I do the same. My nephew is adamant that you are me!”
Steph added: “I always get people saying to me ‘I loved you when you did that SMart show on TV.’ But we do exist as two individual humans, blonde girls from ‘Boro.”
