Good Morning Britain in new presenting shake-up as Richard Madeley is replaced tomorrow

GOOD Morning Britain has revealed there's a changing of the guard tomorrow - with Richard Madeley being replaced.

The morning show has been fronted by the veteran TV star and show favourite Susanna Reid on Mondays to Wednesdays since before Christmas.

But Susanna tonight revealed Richard Madeley would not join her in the studio tomorrow morning, and said Martin Lewis had been drafted in.

She wrote on Twitter on Sunday evening: "Tomorrow, I am very pleased to say that @MartinSLewis will be hosting @GMB with me"

Her followers seemed happy with the last minute reshuffle, and one replied: "Absolutely excellent, I’m looking forward to watch you both, tomorrow morning lovely Susanna"

Another declared: "Lovely! Will be up bright & early to watch. Wish he could be on more often" as a third remarked: "Wonderful, he is the best co presenter since PM"

Martin is used to fronting Good Morning Britain, having stepped in after Piers Morgan left in March 2021.

Alastair Campbell, Ed Balls, Adil Ray, and Rob Rinder have also assisted Susanna following his departure.

The brilliantly outspoken and controversial media personality infamously quit the popular morning programme last year after he stormed off set following a row with weatherman Alex Beresford.

After walking out on the show, Piers revealed he turned down 20 jobs before signing a historic deal with The Sun, adding how he was "coming home".

The Sun then exclusively revealed in November that Madeley had signed up to replace Piers with an estimated £300,000-a-year deal.

A source said at the time: “Richard has always maintained he would never do GMB full-time, as he loves his life as it is.

“But as the weeks have gone by, and he’s proven a constant hit with viewers, he’s really got into his stride and has been enjoying it more and more.

“He polls really well with fans and ratings have steadily been on the rise again over the past six months. After a couple of meetings with ITV bosses, he was offered a staff contract. And after consulting with his family, especially wife Judy, he decided ‘sod it’ — and to go for it."
