"She had her appendix out," said the 51-year-old TV star.

"Now it just takes time to heal. But it was emergency surgery so she's in a lot of pain."

She also said that she "just spoke to" Teresa, revealing that the star is "not well."

"She's not feeling good at all. It's bad. She's in a tremendous amount of pain," Dolores added.

Fans first learned of Teresa's health scare last week when her daughter Gia shared a photo of her mother lying in a hospital bed.

The 21-year-old begged her followers for prayers, writing: "Such a trooper I love you. Pray for a speedy recovery I love you @teresagiudice."

At the time, the reason for the TV personality's hospital stay was unclear.

The following day, Teresa's brother Joe Gorga exclusively told The Sun his sister had been released from the hospital, though he didn't release any additional details regarding the visit.

Joe said: “She’s doing great. She is home now.

“She will share what happened soon.”
