Tipping Point viewers rip into winning contestant’s ‘s**t’ prizes – slamming ITV for ‘shoestring budget’

TIPPING Point viewers have ripped into a winning contestant's 's**t' prizes - and slammed ITV for a 'shoestring budget'.

The ITV quiz shows sees four contestants try and win as many tokens from the machine as possible to try and make it to the final for a chance to win £10,000.

Along the way, they can also try and secure double money tokens and 'mystery' tokens, which are often a gift experience or items for the home.

On Monday's episode, Tom managed to get one of the green mystery tokens out of the machine during the second round.

Host Ben Shephard then revealed he had won a three night treehouse stay courtesy of Atlantic Surf Pods.

As Ben read it out, a picture of the stylish treehouse appeared on screen and Tom seemed delighted with it, saying "Wow!"

Ben said: "That'll be fab won't it?" and Tom replied: "That will be amazing!"

However, some viewers didn't agree, with one Tipping Point fan writing on Twitter: "Oh goody living in a garden shed up a tree for three nights #tippingpoint."

Another added: "Sleep in a tree. Well, what next. #TippingPoint."

Ben went on to win another mystery prize as the competition continued, this time it was six months supply of artisan pasta.

Another viewer tweeted: "Sh*t prize klaxon #tippingpoint."

A fellow fan of the show agreed, writing: "#TippingPoint prizes, on a shoestring budget. You're more likely to end up winning a holiday to Bognor than Barcelona..."

Tom continued his lucky streak, beating out all the other contestants to make it to the final round.

Ben chose not to gamble his £3800 winnings for a further three tokens to try and win the jackpot counter, and went home happy with his cash and prizes.
