THE Chase host Bradley Walsh sternly told a contestant to 'pull yourself together’ after they laughed at their wrong answer answers.

32-year-old project manager Angela was the second to try and win some money for the team.

She told Bradley that she wanted to use the money to buy herself a new car after crashing hers two days after passing her test.

Angela only managed to bag herself £4,000 in the first round.

An unimpressed Bradley told her: "You're better than that.

"And you kept laughing when you got things wrong!"

Angela giggled: "It's nerves!"

Bradley snapped back: "It probably is nerves, but it's no laughing matter darling...

"Come on, pull yourself together!"

Angela decided to play it safe in the next round and played for £4,000.

Despite the nerves she did very well and made it through to the final chase.

Last night Bradley was called out by loyal fans of The Chase for a signature catchphrase.

Some viewers speculated the much-loved presenter, 61, was "on a bonus" for regurgitating the line, parrot-fashion, to some contestants.

It came after contestant Dick banked just £3,000 on his Cashbuilder Round.

The Chase's wannabe winner had struggled with contemporary questions and, showing a sympathetic side, Bradley tried to console him.

He said: "Undone by some modern culture questions there, Dick.

"Three grand. I think you're a better player than that."

Yet his words sparked fury among some regular The Chase fans, with one writing: "Does Bradley know something we don't. You're a better player….is he though #TheChase."

Another rather unkindly mused: "Why does Bradley say ‘You’re a better player than that’ when they are obviously thick as two short planks. #thechase"

A third then remarked: "Always a better player says Bradley #thechase."

Yet earlier in the show, it was Dick himself who was in the spotlight for his x-rated credentials.
