THE Chase fans quickly fell head over heels for a Scouse contestant on tonight's episode.

On Friday evening's instalment of the popular ITV quiz show, Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players to the table - but one of them soon stole the show.

Tony, Jennifer, Vanessa and James were testing their wits against one of Britain's biggest brains in a bid to win big money.

James, an office manager from Merseyside, was first up to face Mark Labbett and, after a decent cash builder, he gained an impressive £6,000 for the kitty.

Bradley was so impressed with his efforts that he asked James if he was a "secret quizzer".

After taking The Beast's middle offer, James made it back to the team with his £6,000 - securing himself a place in the final.

But it was his voice, rather than his quizzing skill, that had viewers talking.

Taking to Twitter one person penned: "James is so dreamy and so is his accent. What a voice."

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Wow. James has such a nice voice. He's not that bad to look at either."

While a third gushed: "I could honestly listen to James all day - such a lovely accent."

It's not the first time that fans of the show have been in awe over a contestant's voice.

Just last year, Robert from Glasgow stepped up to win some big money - and those at home soon fell in love with him.

Alongside an emoji of a heart, one person affirmed: "I do love the Scottish accent."

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
