PERFECT PRINCESS

The Crown bosses start hunt for ‘stunning’ Kate Middleton lookalike to play royal in final series of Netflix show

THEY’VE just put out a casting call for actors to play Princes William and Harry in the final series of The Crown — now the show’s creators are set to do the same for Kate Middleton.

The sixth season covers the period from 1997 into the early Noughties, which is when the future king and queen first met at St Andrew’s University.

But as Kate would only be a relatively small supporting role, the casting team only want to feature her if they can find an actress who captures her English Rose looks.

A TV insider said: “Having the Duchess of Cambridge starring is an easy win for The Crown, as the creators know it will get more people watching.

“Particularly as it will show her relationship with William just as their romance starts to blossom when they were both students.

“But since she’s not necessarily a crucial part of the storyline, Kate’s presence is essentially a bonus, they’ll only cast someone if they can find the right candidate.”

Last month The Crown put out an appeal for actors to play William between the ages of 16 and 21, and Harry between the ages of 16 and 20.

So naturally they targeted the call-out at schools, sixth forms, drama groups and universities across the country.

They made it clear that they were: “Looking for a strong physical resemblance.” But no previous acting experience was required.

It also points out that shooting for the final series starts in August of this year — which means they now have just over a month to find somebody.

I’m sure they won’t struggle to hire two lads to play the princes — but finding someone as stunning as Kate will be a real challenge...

Oti said: “I just ran over to him and gave him a big hug.

“I haven’t seen him since the Euros football.”

Jordan a mystery man

APPEARING on I’m A Celebrity catapulted him to primetime, but Jordan North swiftly learnt not everyone watches the ITV reality show.

The Radio 1 DJ had to prove who he was when a bailiff didn’t recognise him.

Talking on the Help I Sexted My Boss podcast, he explained: “It was 8 o’clock in the morning and there was a real banging on the front door and I was like ‘Christ, who is that?’

“They’re not called bailiffs they’re called court enforcement officers and they said, ‘Are you such and such’ and I said, ‘No they don’t live here anymore’.

“I had to prove it wasn’t me and then prove I’d moved in last November and I had to sign a form.

“Then he switched on this camera thing on his vest and I was like ‘Great, now I’m going to be on Channel 5’s Can’t Pay We’ll Take It Away’ so if you see a face blurred out in the corner of the door next series and it’s my voice, it probably is me.”

More telly work will surely help, Jordan.
