DERRY Girls will return to our screens for one last time this week.

When is the last season of Derry Girls starting?
The third and final season of will air on Tuesday 12 April.
The first episode will premiere on Channel 4 at 9:15pm with six episodes in total.
Derry Girls last aired on Channel 4 back in April 2019 prior to the pandemic.
Who is in the final series?
Fans will be delighted to discover Jamie-Lee O’Donnell will return to our screens as the iconic Michelle Mallon.

Nicola Coughlan, who also appeared in Bridgerton, will reprise her role as Clare Devlin.
Saoirse-Monica Jackson is back as Erin Quinn alongside her cousin Orla McCool who is played by Louisa Harland.
Hollyoaks’ Dylan Llewellyn will return as James Maguire and former EastEnders star Lynne O’Neill will be back to play Ma/Mary with Tommy Tiernan back to play Da/Gerry.
Kathy Kiera Clarke is back to play Aunt Sarah, Kevin McAleer returns as Uncle Colm and Ian McElhinney as Grandpa Joe.
Leah O’Rourke as Our Lady Immaculate College’s prefect, Jenny Joyce with Sister Michael played by Siobhan McSweeney.
Why is Derry Girls ending?
The show’s creator, Lisa McGee announced back in 2021 that the third season will be the final.
She posted on Twitter, saying: “It was always the plan to say goodbye after three series.
“Derry Girls is a coming-of-age story; following five ridiculous teenagers as they slowly… very slowly… start to become adults, while around them the place they call home starts to change too and Northern Ireland enters a new more hopeful phrase – which was a small, magical window of time.
