She returns as cop Catherine Cawood in the third – and final – season of the BBC1 crime drama.

Sarah was seen filming near Bradford this week.

Displaying a seemingly battered and bruised face, in one scene her character was consoled by sister Clare Cartwright, again played by Siobhan Finneran.

In the scene, Sarah walked among a group of emergency vehicles called to an incident before doubling over in sobs as she leaned on a car.
