Gogglebox fans delighted as Pete’s baby son makes rare appearance on the show

GOGGLEBOX fans were thrilled after Pete Sandiford's adorable baby son made a rare appearance during Friday evening's episode.

Britain's sharpest armchair critics shared more of their insightful takes on the week's biggest television series - but it was the cameo of Pete's son that soon stole the show.

The fan favourite welcomed son Jimmy with his wife Paige Yeomans in September last year and the tot soon made his debut on the show.

The bundle of joy was dressed all in blue, with Pete ever the doting dad as he cooed and snuggled his son.

But appearances for Jimmy have been rare, with many fans of the Channel 4 hit show crying out to see more of the toddler.

Soon into tonight's episode, that wish was granted as Pete and doting auntie Sophie sat by the telly with the seven-month-old.

Alongside an array of red love heart emojis, one person penned: "I bet Pete's an amazing dad. What a gorgeous baby!"

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Pete's son is so cute! He's growing up so fast."

While a third joked: "Blimey! Pete's baby is almost as big as him. Oh, they grow so fast, don't they?"

The TV star shared the news that he was going to be a dad on an episode of Gogglebox last April by showing Sophie the baby scan on his phone.

Sharing his excitement, he told his sibling she was going to be an aunt - and she couldn't to wait to find out the gender.

As she looked at the scan, Pete revealed he didn't know the gender of the baby as he said Sophie could be expecting a niece or a nephew.

Pete said to his sister: "Innit mad? I am actually going to be a dad to somebody."
