Fans slammed Chris for appearing on the show after barring Kailyn from talking about him

Chris made a surprise appearance on Tuesday's episode of Teen Mom 2, opening up about the newest addition to his family.

His appearance came after Kailyn, 30, was asked about the baby by production, quickly shutting the conversation down.

She said: "Chris asked me specifically not to discuss him and his new family so I’m not going to make any comments – any more comments – on Chris and his new family."

Not long after, however, Chris sat down with his friend Bread to discuss the baby and his relationship with Kailyn.

More on Kailyn

He told his pal: "As you already know I got another child on the way."

Asked about coparenting and how his relationship with his new baby mama would be different than his relationship with Kailyn, he said: "Smoother. Me and the kids mom – my new kids mom – we not in a relationship or anything."

Chris also said of the baby: "This one made me want to be different."

He added: "Me and Kail ain’t even got communication. I deal with you for this kids at this point but I ain’t really got much to say."

As he appeared, Twitter was abuzz about his decision to film the show.

One Teen Mom fan wrote: "WHY IS CHRIS GETTING screen time when he threatened to sue Kail over filming with the boys or talking about their relationship?? He used her to get on the show."

Another added: "So Chris never wanted to film but now all of a sudden he got cameras up in his face? Chile…."

A third Twitter user wrote: "What kind of arrangement is this where Chris can talk about Kail but not vice versa."

MUMS THE WORD

While Chris spoke about Kailyn during the episode, she continued to stay quiet even after the baby's arrival.

MTV aired voiceover of Chris talking about becoming a father again.

While he talked, photos of him and the baby appeared on screen.

The cameras then follow Kailyn on a trip to Georgia, where she was working on a project with podcast cohost Lindsie Chrisley.

Asked about the baby, the Pennsylvania native was quick to put a stop to the chatter, saying: "Oh no, I’m not going there."

Lindsie appeared interested, asking several questions, including whether the baby was a boy or girl and if photos of the child were released.

Kailyn continued to shut things down, but did confirm: "It's a boy."

She went on: "I’m not going there. I don’t think I talked about it online.

"No, I’m not allowed to talk about that. My lawyer confirmed that yesterday."

Both Lindsie and production kept trying to talk about it, but the mom of four was adamant: "She said do not talk about this and that’s in writing."

WALK OFF

This isn't the firs time Chris has appeared on Teen Mom 2.

Earlier in the season, he filmed an episode with Kailyn's nemesis Briana DeJesus.

The episode led to Kailyn quitting the show for several months.

After the episode of Teen Mom 2 aired, Briana  apparently shot when the show filmed.

In it, she danced with Chris and her friend Shirley, with the trio swinging their hips in a synchronized fashion.

Briana captioned the clip: "We had so much fun in philly filming."

She turned off comments on the post.

In June 2021, Kailyn sued  for defamation after she alleged the star “physically beat” Chris and broke into his mother's home.

The duo had a court hearing set for March 29 to rule on Briana’s anti-slapp motion, which protects a person’s freedom of speech, that she filed in August in an effort to have the case dismissed.

In court papers exclusively obtained by The Sun, Briana's lawyer filed a Motion for a Protective Order to ban Kailyn from seeking information about her “sexual relationship with a third party” without confidentiality protection.

Briana, whose real last name is Soto, had her deposition in the case on March 7, 2022.

Ultimately, the Florida native was the victor in the trial.

A judge dismissed it and ruled that her online commentary was protected free speech.

The battle between them. began with a comment Briana made about Kailyn and Chris' rocky relationship.

She alleged that the podcast cohost was excluded from a show after she allegedly “committed violent, physical crimes towards Mr. Lopez. Defendant also asserted that Lowry was arrested for breaking and entering into the home of Mr. Lopez’s mother.”
