A NEW HOPE

Britain’s Got Talent singer Hope Murphy unrecognisable 10 years after leaving judges open-mouthed on show

BRITAIN's Got Talent contestant Hope Murphy looks completely different ten years after her audition wowed the panel.

Singer Hope, now 26, was just 16 years old back in 2012 when she blew away the judges on the sixth series of the hit ITV show.

Viewers first saw Essex-born Hope when she stepped onto the stage and told the judges she was going to sing Shirley Bassey's iconic number, Big Spender.

She told viewers it was her "dream to make it worldwide".

But Simon Cowell almost burst her bubble when he interrupted her seconds into the audition. He then asked her to choose another track because he was fed up of hearing so many auditionees singing that well-known belter.

Instead, Hope opted to sing her version of the Maxwell song, This Woman's Work.

And the switch-up paid off because her rousing rendition received a unanimous four yeses from the judges, and scored her high praise to boot.

"I think that you are a star in the making," Amanda Holden told her, while David Walliams branded her performance "incredible".

While Hope progressed to the semi finals, unfortunately she was eliminated at the end of her round and didn't make the final.

Ten years on, Hope looks very different from the young girl who wore heavy eye make-up and her blonde hair in loose waves for that first audition.

As her social media pictures show, she now wears less of the dark eyeliner, her lips appear fuller and she wears her tresses shorter and straighter.

Her face shape looks to have changed as she has grown up and matured into a young woman.

According to her facebook, she is still a singer and is working on her debut album.

Her bio says she is now based in Notting Hill in London and regularly plays jazz clubs in the city.
