Hollyoaks star looks unrecognisable in school throwback snap – but can you guess who it is?

HOLLYOAKS veteran Stephanie Waring looks completely different in adorable throwback photo to her school days.

The 43-year-old soap star shared the vintage pic of her posing proudly in her school photo after stumbling on it while doing a spring clean.

Aged about 15 in the photo, a young Steph has her hair tied back in a ponytail as she smiles widely in her school uniform.

"Clearing out my wardrobes and this little gem falls out of an old diary .. think I’m 15 here.. not aged a day 😜," Steph captioned the post.

Her fans loved the throwback snap and couldn't help but notice how much her daughter Lexi, 16, was a dead ringer for her mum.

Cute then and cute now ❤️," commented one fan.

Another added: "Lexi that you 👀💗😂."

And a third wrote: "Lexi is the double of you 😍."

It's been a big few months for the actress who recently got engaged to boyfriend Tom Brookes.

Tom popped the question on the couple's first anniversary after whisking her to the Lake District for the weekend in December.

Steph shared her sparkler on Instagram, writing: "And on the 365th day he asked me to be his wife.

"He’s the one."

The couple sealed the romantic moment with a passionate kiss, and the diamond ring was on full display as Steph held her man's face.

Tom shared another snap of his bride-to-be and called Steph his "best friend".

The 43-year-old actress - who has played Cindy Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap since 1996 - went Instagram official with Tom in March last year.

She announced their four-month relationship with a series of loved-up snaps on social media.

The star previously dated personal trainer Dan Hooper from 2008 to 2014, and they share a daughter together called Lexi, 11.

The beauty also dated Riad Erraji after her split from Dan but things came to an end in 2015.
