Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson in furious rant as his car is ‘written off’ after being hit – weeks after boozy fight
CORONATION Street star Simon Gregson has taken to Twitter to have a moan about car insurance after his motor was written off.
He said he was in an accident that only caused "minor" damage yet his beloved car was deemed to be no longer fit to drive.
The furious actor, who plays Steve McDonald in Corrie, tweeted last night: "So a nice unfortunate lady hit my car today when it was parked up.
"Very minor damage just a dent and my insurance company wrote it off.
"Wtf is that about? Time to change providers me thinks. Car now being repaired by her insurance so no loss."
It comes weeks after The Sun revealed soap favourite Simon, 47, is said to be off the hook over a boozy row.

A pal said police have dropped their investigation into the ruckus earlier this month.
He was spoken to by police at a Toby Carvery after a boozy day at Aintree races.
A week before, he was filmed shirtless being ejected from a bar in Manchester.
A pal said: "Simon has been told there will be no further action taken by the cops following the ruckus in the Toby Carvery.

"It is naturally a welcome relief for Simon and those around him. Simon knows his antics haven't looked, or been, great and he made it clear to Corrie it won't happen again."
The Sun revealed how the actor apologised to his soap bosses.
The dad of three, runner-up on last year's I'm A Celebrity, previously admitted he used to get "dangerously drunk" with friends after starting on Corrie in 1989.
He said: "I'd go through a bottle of scotch at 4 or 5am after the pub."
