Dave first revealed he was battling cancer on May 6, 2022.
Speaking on his podcast, The Hairy Bikers – Agony Uncles, he told fans he had "been unwell".
He revealed on the show, which he co-hosted with his fellow Hairy Biker Si, that he was "going to be fine", after confirming to listeners that he would be having chemo and joking that he "looks good bald".
When I first got the call, what went through my mind was disbelief, and a refusal to believe it in a way... It's the word, isn't it, the word that everybody fears.

Lili then took to Instagram to thank fans.
She said: "I will never be able to thank you all enough for the massive wave of love, compassion and care that you have shown towards me, Simon and our families in these past days since Dave passed.
"I want you all to know that I have read every single message and comment that you sent… your stories about Dave, your feelings you shared with me mean a lot and my heart is filled with gratitude and love.
"I feel I’m grieving with a whole nation… and this is something special."
What cancer did Dave from the Hairy Bikers have?
Dave did not specify which type of cancer he had been diagnosed with and, as of March 2024, has not publicly shared this information.
The presenter and TV cook took a step back from work shortly after publicly announcing his condition to focus on his health.
But at the beginning of 2024, it was confirmed that the Hairy Bikers would make their TV comeback in February with their BBC Two series The Hairy Bikers Go West.
The show follows Dave and Si as they travel from the north of the country to the south, discovering the best producers, farmers, and chefs along the way.
In a November 2023 interview, Dave said he was "doing alright".
He told BBC Breakfast: "I'm doing all right. I'm still having treatment but everything seems stable."
Referencing his work with Si he said: "I've been back with my best mate on the bike, filming and doing the books and back to work."
What has Dave Myers said on his cancer diagnosis?
Dave regularly kept fans updated on his cancer.
In December 2023 he reflected on his condition in an emotional TV appearance, leaving his fans in tears.
During the Hairy Bikers Christmas special the star, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2013, recalled the moment he received his diagnosis.
He said: "When I first got the call, what went through my mind was disbelief, and a refusal to believe it in a way.
"It's the word, isn't it, the word that everybody fears."
He continued: "I didn't want to eat. I would fall over quite a lot. By the second lot of chemo my hair came out really quite radically.
"Your hair, eyelashes, everything just goes. I've never gone on about what sort of cancer I've got because I feel like that's my business.
"I don't want newspapers to run a lottery on how long I've got to live. That's not what I want."
Referencing his spouse Liliana Orzac, who he married in 2011, Dave said: "I felt so guilty because of the effects it's having on my wife Lil."
The couple met while filming Hairy Bikers in Romania for the BBC.
Dave's co-star Si also spoke publicly about his friend's diagnosis.
During an appearance on The One Show in 2023 he said of his pal's treatment: "It's going really well.
"He's still in the trenches of his chemo and treatment but all the numbers are going well and he's getting stronger by the day and more positive by the day.

Dave Myers' top moments
DAVE MYERS often showcased his other hidden talents
Singing Bat Out of Hell for Children In Need
In 2010, Dave and Si performed a rendition of the Meat Loaf track for charity.
Wearing black and white suits as well as dirty white aprons, they sang Bat Out Of Hell in a café to raise funds for Children In Need.
Making an entrance
Renowned for their love for motorbikes, the duo frequently made memorable entrances onto the sets of TV studios by riding in.
In 2016, they delighted the then-hosts of This Morning, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, by surprising them with bikes in the studio hallway.
Afterwards, they casually left their helmets and jackets scattered around the sofa of the ITV daytime programme.
Murder on the dance floor
During his stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, Dave performed a cha-cha routine to the Maroon 5 song Moves Like Jagger.
Sporting a flamboyant silver shirt, he executed exaggerated moves and even playfully dragged professional dancer Karen Hauer along the dance floor by her leg.
His energetic performances left a lasting impression, with then-judge Bruno Tonioli commending him for his entertainment value.
However, Dave's journey on the show was cut short when he was eliminated midway through the series while dancing a tango to I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers.
All locked up with nowhere to go
During an episode of the BBC comedy panel show Would I Lie To You?, Dave disclosed an anecdote about being inadvertently trapped inside a merchant bank while working as a security guard at the age of 22.
He apparently found himself locked inside the bank from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day evening in 1980 due to a lack of relief staff and not being provided with the keys to exit the premises.
Just desserts
During their appearance on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen, Dave and Si encountered difficulty removing a fruit pudding from its dish.
Despite Dave's attempts to dislodge it by slamming the bowl on the table and Si stepping in to assist, the pudding emerged from the dish in a collapsed state.
In jest, Dave quipped, "Generally it just relaxes, a bit like when my wife takes her Spanx off."
They attempted to salvage the situation by adorning the pudding with berries and herbs for decoration.
