THE LARKINS star Tok Stephen sparked a complaint to show bosses after he used a photo of co-star Sabrina Bartlett as his WhatsApp profile picture.
Actor Tok, 23, who plays Cedric ‘Charley’ Charlton in ITV’s The Darling Buds of May remake, singled out the image after Sabrina snapped a selfie on his phone.
But Sabrina, 30, who played eldest Larkin daughter Mariette in the drama’s first series, is said to have complained and reckoned it made her uncomfortable.
She announced she was quitting the series soon after, citing schedule clashes.
Tok will return to his role as Mariette’s love interest.
A show insider said yesterday: “He insisted he had only done it as a joke, but she made a complaint about his behaviour.
“From that point on, there was a real tension between the two of them.”

ITV and representatives for Tok and Sabrina have not commented.
Sabrina will be replaced in the show by Joelle Rae, 21.
