LOOSE Women's Brenda Edwards has revealed she's stopped heating her home amid the cost of living crisis.

The TV star, 52, said she's not had her central heating on for three months because of 'utility bill anxiety' caused by soaring energy prices.

And she noted the amount the government is spending in weapons aid to help Ukraine combat Russia while seemingly doing little to help taxpayers with the soaring energy prices back home.

She said: "I'm trying to save where I can. You hear they're sending 1.3 billion in military weapons support [to Ukraine] and then over here we don't feel we're getting that support at all. Why is something not being done about that?

"1.3 billion, again. That's a lot of money that could help a family with their young children."

The discussion comes as the government prepares to give £1.3billion in military aid to Ukraine to help it repel the Russian invasion.

Equipment supplied by the UK has been very effective in combating Russian tanks and aircraft.

But the supply of weapons has led to chilling warnings from Moscow and accusations the UK is engaging in a 'proxy war'.

The conflict has caused energy prices to rocket, with with a huge increase of 54 per cent last month and further rises due later in the year.

Meanwhile Brenda recently returned to Loose Women for the first time since the tragic death of her son Jamal, aged 31.

In an emotional talk with friend Coleen Nolan, Brenda told how Jamal passed away holding her hand after suffering a heart attack at home.

She said: "I get a little bit of comfort knowing I was with him.

"As much as that is comfort, at the same time, it's a vision that I am never going to forget."
