EastEnders fans baffled by blunder as Callum Highway’s poster is defaced

ALBERT Square troublemaker Ben Mitchell sets out to destroy anybody representing a threat to him and his husband Callum.

When the latter's poster was vandalised, Ben struck again - leaving EastEnders viewers wondering how nobody witnessed the incident.

Ben Mitchell's (portrayed by Max Bowden) violent streak made a return in recent episodes of the BBC One soap as he lashes out against anybody displaying homophobic behaviour.

The long-standing resident is still coping with his husband Callum Highway's (Tony Clay) attack and its resulting trauma.

The police officer was recently immortalised in a poster hanging above the Square as a part of the Metropolitan Police's LGBTQI+ initiative.

Sadly, the poster was vandalised by an unknown resident.

However, the incident left some EastEnders viewers distracted and puzzled during Monday's instalment as it became clear nobody noticed the poster being defaced despite the Square being such a public setting.

"So you’re telling me that none of those people on the market noticed someone on the roof of the minute mart vandalising the poster", one fan fumed on Twitter.

Another commented: "So nobody saw that poster being defaced in broad daylight."

A third viewer jumped in, writing: "So someone defaced the poster of Callum in broad daylight without anyone noticing?", while another added: "Middle of the day someone hangs from the roof & graffitis Cal’s poster. Nae bother!"

A fifth and final soap fan quipped: "The poster is about 20 foot up in the air….who vandalised it, Spiderman??"

Soon enough, things took a dark turn once again when a horrified Ben sought revenge and made another victim.

Unfortunately, this led to him attacking his nephew Peter Beale, played by Dayle Hudson.

Ben mistook Peter for a man called Rich he had seen laughing at the poster and who later came into the Prince Albert to spread more of his poison.

Peter was revealed laying on the ground, covered in blood and fans are convinced Ben murdered another resident.

Ben previously revealed his vigilante behaviour to a concerned Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) but has seemingly shown no remorse over his actions.

Is this about to change?
