Gangs of London fans all say the same thing as thriller dubbed ‘goriest TV show EVER’ drops season 2 trailer

THE official trailer for the second season of Sky’s record-breaking drama Gangs of London has dropped – and it promises even more action than the first instalment.

The upcoming series will hit screens later this year, with what the network is calling an “ambitious, visceral, action-packed thriller”.

In case you missed it, the show’s first season followed the Wallace family and their loss of patriarch Finn.

His assassination came as a real shock to everyone, resulting in his son Sean taking over as head of London’s most powerful crime group.

However, Sean didn’t realise that one of his biggest enemies was rather close to home, with undercover cop Elliott infiltrating the family.

On top of that, he had the Kurdish Freedom Fighters, the Pakistani Drug Cartel, Welsh travellers and other criminal bodies to answer to.

After a thrilling first season, the second promises to be even more dramatic, especially with viewers on the edge of their sets following Sean’s confrontation of Elliott in the first season finale.

As the trailer dropped on Tuesday afternoon, fans of the critically-acclaimed drama have taken to Twitter to air their thoughts.

Alongside an array of shocked faced emojis, one person penned: “The second season of Gangs of London needs to drop immediately after that trailer. Wow!”

Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Talk about making an impression. The trailer for Gangs of London has got me gassed, man.”

While a third remarked: “Absolutely cannot wait to watch Gangs of London when it releases later this year. One of the best series I’ve ever seen.”

Gangs of London arrived in April 2020 and the crime drama went on to win four awards at Wales’ biggest film and TV awards ceremony the following year.

It has since been dubbed a “modern day Peaky Blinders” thanks to its ambitious storytelling and visceral viewing experience, with a modern take on gang dramas.

Gangs of London season 2 airs on Sky and NOW later this year.
