THE Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations kicked off tonight with a special appearance from Hollywood star Tom Cruise.
Presenters Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham chatted to the Top Gun 2 star while hosting the live televised event on ITV.
Megastar Tom, 59, was one of the first guests to sit down with Phil and Julie, telling them about his love for the UK and particularly The Queen.
He appeared after footage of Queen Elizabeth's 70 years on the throne aired on screen, and viewers were left bursting with pride to be British.
One person tweeted: "We need to embrace and celebrate the most remarkable achievement of HRH"
Another shared their sentiments, writing on Twitter: "Jubilee celebrations on @ITV in honour of HM The Queen. She has served people and countries with honour and dignity. We’re lucky to have her."

As another said about the stunning Windsor location: "Love it when all eyes are on #Windsor, it’s a bloody beaut place"
Tom said he was honoured to be part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, in which he introduced the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery.
He said: "(The Queen) is a woman that I greatly admire, what she has accomplished has been historic. She has met presidents, world leaders, people from all walks of life.
"I just remember always as a kid seeing photos of her. I came to England, started making movies here in 1982, started producing here because I liked the crews. I loved the history.
"I have great respect for her, so when they asked I said yes immediately."
