The Chase’s Darragh Ennis leaves player mortified after mocking his answer

DARRAGH Ennis left a contestant on The Chase mortified after he mocked his performance on the show.

Friday evening's episode of the ITV quiz show saw Cole, Ian, Andrew, and Jo join forces to take on one of the country's finest TV brains.

Cole was the first player to take on the quizzer and he ended up answering an impressive six questions correctly in the cash builder round.

When it came to facing Darragh, the scientist decided to play it safe and play for the money that he had already banked.

However, Cole soon crumbled under pressure at the table and he got a number of questions wrong.

Just before he was sent home, Darragh couldn't resist taking a swipe at Cole's incorrect answers.

The quizzer joked Cole should have got the science question about the elements in the earth's atmosphere right as he poked fun at his profession.

But Cole didn't look impressed and he was quick to shut down his opponent.

"I would suggest not telling anyone in work that you're on the show," Darragh joked.

Cole looked unimpressed as he interrupted: "I am a biologist, not a chemist," before walking off stage without saying a peep.

Darragh stunned fans again last week after he shared a half-naked video of himself on social media.

Posing topless while wearing a pair of black swimming trunks, the brainiac shared the revealing snap with his 4,000 followers on TikTok.

Darragh addressed the camera and said: "Right, time for some cold water swimming," before he turned around to dive into the deep pool.
