DAN Walker's last day on BBC Breakfast under threat as he risks MISSING it.
Tomorrow Dan, 46, will say goodbye to his presenting role on the Beeb's flagship show after six years.
But after having car trouble on his drive up to Manchester where the show is filmed, Dan admitted he was struggling to get there.
Dan told fans: "Thank you for all the gorgeous messages that you're sending through about my final shift on BBC Breakfast tomorrow.
"I'm looking forward to it - if I actually manage to get there.
"I'm currently at the services on the M40 charging the electric vehicle.
"I had a travel-based issue and need to get it up to a significant enough charge to get all the way to Manchester."
Hopeful that he will still make it in time to present his final breakfast show, Dan added: "I might get there very late tonight. I'm planning on about two and a half hours' sleep.
"So if I look a bit fuddled in the morning, that's the reason why."
We revealed today BBC Breakfast is honing in on Dan's replacement, according to a leading bookmaker.
The star has signed a deal with Channel 5 that will see him host the news and present primetime shows.
While his successor hasn't officially been announced, Ladbrokes believe it's almost certain Jon Kay will be the man to take over.
The 52-year-old has worked on Breakfast since 2010 and often fills in for its main hosts.
