A Place in the Sun’s Lee Juggurnauth breaks silence on ‘disheartening backlash’ about looks and outfits from ‘haters’

: "The backlash of when an episode comes out, it's really funny because you're going to get a lot of love, but alongside that love, you're also going to get a lot of haters out there.

“There are a lot of people that say bad stuff and negative stuff, comment on everything, the way that you look, the way that you sound and what you're wearing.”

He added: “Everyone's got an opinion and they feel the need to Tweet it, Instagram, DM it or whatever.

“When we go out and do these shows, I think even though it looks like it's filmed in a day, and you're watching it for an hour, so much love and effort goes into making the shows a possibility.

“[Ranging] from the research team back home in the UK to the production team and to everyone that is on-site making this happen, including the house hunters, a lot of effort goes into it.

“They are very long days and to find the right property, it takes a lot.”

Lee joined the show's current roster of presenters including Laura Hamilton, Jasmine Harman, Jonnie Irwin and Scarlette Douglas in April 2021.

Speaking about the moment he found out he got the job, Lee said: "It was kind of like a pinch me moment because I had previously auditioned for the show two years prior to that.

"I got quite far, I got into the final two, but they chose someone else instead because they wanted a girl at the time."

For his first assignment he headed to the vibrant city of Gandia in Spain to help Davi and Debi.

Over the past year the telly star has loved sharing what he gets up to at work on his Instagram page.

Most recently he returned to Spain to film for the show.

Sharing a snap of himself posing on the beach in a light blue denim jacket, white t-shirt and matching jeans, Lee said: "Back in the Spanish office 🎥📽🇪🇸."

Lee has also recently been in Italy and the Canary Islands this year too.

When he's not busy finding properties for guests on the Channel 4 show, he's designing clobber for his clothing brand Juggurnauth.
