In the heartbreaking scenes, which were recorded earlier this year, irrepressible Deborah talks to young people about her story.

The mum-of-two told The Sun: “I might not live to see the episode air but I hope the message to 'Check your poo' will live on, long after I'm gone.

"It might be embarrassing but it might just save your life.

Early diagnosis of things like bowel cancer saves lives.

So don't live to regret it, and don't risk dying because you're shy.

"I've given my blessing for this episode to run if I'm gone, if it helps save one life it will be worth it."

E4 has not yet scheduled the Sun columnist’s episode, but it is expected to run later in June on the rebooted show - which is back after seven years off air.

Deborah, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016, will be seen pressing her ‘check your poo’ message with one of the show’s new in-house doctors, Dr Tosin Ajayi-Sotubo.

She is one of a number of household names who will discuss their health story on Embarrassing Bodies to raise awareness or educate on a topic including Vicky Pattison and singer Lisa Maffia.

The You Me and the Big C podcast host shared this week that she was “gutted” she will likely also miss seeing her best-selling book, How To Live When You Could Be Dead, in the shops when it is published on August 18.

Just days earlier Deborah was made a dame after travelled to present her gong.

In little over a week she has raised nearly £6.5million for the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK.
