Lingo viewers all have the same complaint about ITV game show after huge schedule shake-up
THOSE tuning into ITV this week were left raging after realising that The Chase had been replaced by fellow game show Lingo.
Earlier this week, fans were looking forward to tuning into another episode of the popular ITV programme fronted by Bradley Walsh.
However, they were soon left disappointed to learn that its slot had been filled with the newest series of the word-based game Lingo for the entire week.
As a result, dozens of disgruntled viewers took to Twitter to vent their frustration over the schedule shake-up.
Alongside an array of angry faced emojis one person vented: “I’m sorry, but why is Lingo replacing The Chase this week? It’s such a s*** show and doesn’t deserve any airtime. Fuming.”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Absolutely sick of Lingo replacing The Chase. Does anyone else feel the same?”

While a third remarked: “Life isn’t the same without The Chase. Bring it back!”
Another fan, however, reminded viewers that The Chase will be returning to its usual slot next week.
They affirmed: “Those who are going nuts because Lingo has replaced The Chase should know that it’s only for this week.”
Those missing the regular slot of show were instead treated to the return of Beat the Chasers later in the evening.
Bradley was back to host the show, however, one familiar face was missing from our screens.
Chaser Anne Hegerty – also known as The Governess – was replaced on Beat the Chasers for this series.
It comes after the 63-year-old contracted coronavirus and, therefore, couldn’t film for the show.
Instead, she was replaced by Australian quizzer Issa Schultz.

Speaking about taking over Anne’s spot on Beat the Chasers, Issa recently told The Sun’s TV Mag: “I got a last-minute call to step into The Governess’s cold and chilly shoes. What a delight.”
The Chase will return on Monday, 23 at 5pm on ITV.
