The Grand Tour bosses finally confirm future of show after string of standalone specials
THE Grand Tour bosses have confirmed that the show will continue on Amazon Prime.
The critically-acclaimed series has been sporadically dropping feature-length specials over the past couple of years.
As a result of strict coronavirus restrictions, Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson struggled to film worldwide.
But earlier this year, they confirmed that they were back to filming across the globe, as they hit up Europe for a new Scandinavian special.
And it looks like they’re just going to keep on coming, as Amazon Studios boss Georgia Brown confirmed there would be much more from the trio ahead.
Their last special - Carnage A Trois - dropped in November and was filmed during lockdown, meaning this upcoming episode will be the first out of the UK to air since 2020.

The former Top Gear stars were thought to be filming in Norway for their latest adventure, after plans for a Russia special were shelved months ago.
Clarkson will soon be seen elsewhere as the second series of his show Clarkson’s Farm drops later this year.
And the 61-year-old has credited his Cotswolds project with helping him become fitter.
The Grand Tour boss Andy Wilman addressed the trio’s future on telly.
"Jeremy is a bit fitter because he’s been doing the farm, you naturally are a bit fitter," he told .
"James May has been on a bit of a health kick and Hammond always was fit - apart from the bits that are broken.

"Everything around him that isn’t broken is actually quite in good condition.";
It means that Gilman expects the show to keep going for the foreseeable future, without the effects of age slowing them down.
