Inside Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker’s over-the-top $2M wedding week with lavish gowns, pricey castle & superyacht

KOURTNEY Kardashian and Travis Barker spared no expense bring their fairytale Italian wedding to life.

Even though this may have been the couple's third time saying "I do," it was the first chance for a grand reception.

And the two made the most of their destination wedding, for which, they rented out an entire 16th century castle in the seaside town of Portofino.

Castello Brown is a historic site located on the coast and was used in military defence since the Romans were in charge.

According to the , the castle "is a unique location in the world, located in the center of the Portofino bay, and is surrounded by the most prestigious villas of the international jet set.

"The lush terrace extends vertically above the village, as if flying over it in a helicopter, and offers itself as a unique terrace for your prestigious events."

The cost to host an event there is all a la carte, and can quickly add up.

Just renting the lot cost more that $5,000 U.S.

Having a wedding on castle grounds costs and addition $2,600.

Basic catering is another grand, while partying past midnight is another $250 per hour.

Add in additional catering and food options, not to mention entertainment, including a special performance from legendary Italian singer Andrea Boceli, and the wedding is said to have cost well over $2 million.

“There was a man making fresh cannoli, pastas made-to-order and the most amazing foods and desserts," a source told about the shindig. "Everyone was just enjoying the sunshine and the Italian spring breeze.

"Windows open everywhere, smells of lemon and the salt from the sea.  It’s the perfect time in Portofino because the sun sets so late and it’s not too crowded yet.”

The lovers also went all out when exchanging their wedding bands.

"It looks like they have chosen matching bands," Neil Dutta, Managing Director of  confirmed to The Sun. "The perfect choice for the couple as it reflects how they have matched with one another throughout their relationship."

Kourtney now wears two rings, Neil said: "Her original engagement ring, which is a 12-carat elongated oval diamond set on a platinum band worth $1 million, and a new wedding ring which is a 3mm claw set platinum eternity band worth 1.40 carats, valued at $12,500.”

As for Travis, Neil adds: “Travis’ wedding band matches his new wife Kourtney’s, however his is slightly bigger with 2 carats set in a 4mm platinum eternity band, worth $17,500.

THE LEAD-UP

But that was just the climax of the four-day affair.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, Kourtney and Travis enjoyed the spoiled life onboard a luxurious superyacht, owned by fashion designer pals Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's and said to cost more than $14 million.

In fact, Dolce & Gabbana sponsored much of the wedding for the couple, including providing clothes and accessories not just for the bride and groom, but for all the guests as well.

“Almost all the guests wore head to toe Dolce & Gabbana all weekend,” the insider added.

Outfits were waiting for guests in their hotel room, which seemed like something out of a Disney movie.

"Everything down to the linens, and even the wine they served was made by Dolce."

All the fashion changes could easily cost another $2 million, according to estimates.

YACHT'S ENERTAINMENT

As for the yacht, nicknamed "Regina d'Italia," or "Queen of Italy" in English, the opulent ship features gold everywhere, including on the veined marble floors and custom door handles shaped like outstretched hands.

Even the bathrooms feature pure gold taps studded with sparkling rubies and sapphires.

The ship can accommodate up to 12 guests and 16 crew members, with each suite named after an exotic animal.

Along with a high quality entertainment system, the huge boat also boasts a pool, jacuzzi and spa.

Finally, a custom made 167-foot inflatable water slide launches guests into the ocean from the top deck - allowing all their own chance to take the plunge.
